    Went to Sephora for a restock and to treat myself to a couple new things and the staff were incredible. Every single person I spoke with was so kind and helpful. Yasmine in particular had incredible recommendations, I just wanted to keep talking to her she was so lovely! I’m normally an online shopper but this store makes me want to come in again and again for their customer service.

    I had a very disappointing experience at Sephora Rideau Centre. The staff sold me two skincare products and assured me that if I didn’t see the desired results after two weeks, I could return them for a refund. I followed their instructions and used the products for two weeks, but unfortunately saw no improvement. When I returned to the store, they refused the refund, saying they only accept returns if only a small amount of the product has been used. This makes no sense—how can a customer use a product for two weeks, as instructed, while using only a tiny amount? If there are limitations on the return policy, they should be explained clearly at the time of purchase instead of making promises that cannot actually be honored. I feel I was misled, and the experience has left me very disappointed.

    Disappointed with the Morphe brushes. They break after 1 or 2 months of use. The store and online store does not do a refund or exchange.

    Absolutely appalled by the customer service at Sephora. What makes this worse is that both my friend and I had nearly identical experiences with the SAME employee less than a month apart. My experience happened a month ago when I went in to return an item on behalf of my aunt, who was physically unable to come into the store herself. I had everything needed: her card, driver’s license, order number, and all relevant information. The employee immediately said she “couldn’t accommodate” the return. When I explained my aunt was not able to come in, she reluctantly called the manager over, who approved the return immediately without issue. Instead of simply proceeding professionally, the employee visibly made a face and continued the transaction with an attitude. She then asked for the last 4 digits of the card and said, “That’s not the right one but whatever.” I have genuinely NEVER had a retail employee say “whatever” to me during a transaction. She then turned around and walked away without saying another word. I stood there awkwardly for about 30 seconds before finally asking if everything was completed, to which she only nodded silently. Completely dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. Fast forward to today- my friend went in to pick up an order on behalf of another friend and encountered the exact same behavior from the exact same employee. Initially, my friend went up with the order number & ID, and instead of politely explaining the pickup policy, the employee immediately responded in an incredibly rude and condescending tone that my friend needed to be listed as an alternate pickup person. She then said, “It literally says that at the bottom,” as if my friend was stupid for asking a simple question. After the order was updated and my friend returned to pick it up properly, the employee STILL continued with the same attitude. She took forever to even acknowledge my friend because she was apparently too busy wiping down an already clean counter. When my friend provided the required information, the employee was again rude and dismissive, and AGAIN said, “That’s not the right name but whatever.” At the end of the transaction, she went completely silent despite my friend politely wishing her a good day. Two separate customers. Two separate visits. Same dismissive attitude, same rude comments, same INSANE “whatever” response. Customer service does not require someone to be bubbly or overly friendly but basic professionalism, respect, and common courtesy should be the bare minimum, especially at a company like Sephora where customers are spending significant amounts of money. We will not be returning to this location and would advise everyone to go elsewhere!!
