  I am not usually one to write negative reviews, but my experience at this location yesterday was incredibly disheartening. My husband and I are frequent Sephora online shoppers, but the actual in-store atmosphere did not match the inclusive and welcoming brand image Sephora tries to project. Furthermore, as retail workers ourselves, we entirely understand the necessity of loss prevention measures but what we experienced went far beyond standard security and felt like profiling. ​When I first walked into the store, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged at all. My husband, who is 6'4", waited outside for a bit with our baby before joining me inside. The moment he walked in, the atmosphere completely changed. He was immediately followed closely by security and multiple sales associates. To make matters worse, we overheard staff openly whispering and pointing him out, saying, "Oh yeah, the guy in the flower hat and stoller." ​Being a large individual or wearing a specific hat shouldn't make someone an automatic target for intense, uncomfortable surveillance while trying to shop with their family. There is a way to practice loss prevention with discretion, respect, and professionalism, but the staff here missed the mark entirely. We left feeling incredibly unwelcome and deeply disappointed. Management seriously needs to retrain this team on how to treat customers with basic respect and align their behavior with the brand's values. I honestly do not believe this review even deserves one star!

  Jennifer (I believe she was a manager) was so incredibly kind and gracious, something completely out of their control inconvenienced the appointment just a little bit and she comped my makeup service and gave me a goodie bag of samples. Honestly not necessary at all, I completely understood they had no control over the situation, but it was so nice to be considered and made to feel special for my birthday makeup. And Ashley, my artist, was absolutely incredible! Such an incredible eye for detail and super easy to vibe with. I would definitely come back to get my makeup done again!

  Melissa did my makeup for my wedding. I got the 90 minute glam makeup. She was so precise and a bit of a perfectionist which is exactly what you want in a makeup artist. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made it happen. Thank you so much Melissa, I appreciate you. I definitely recommend using her.

  Toni who did my makeup did exactly what i asked her NOT to do. I made it very clear what I was looking for and she ignored did not listen at all. Do not go here for your makeup they will give you exactly what you request for them NOT to do.

  After an extremely horrible experience at the Ajax location 3 years ago, I was hesitant but needed a makeover for a photoshoot. Andra was my artist and she was so patient with me (I'm not a make up wearer generally) and she really understood what I was hoping to achieve and encouraged me gently to go out of my comfort zone. While I hardly recognized myself, I was so happy with the results! I will happily recommend this location for makeovers!!
