- MCMariah Closs1 day ago1.0Hello, I would like to report an upsetting experience I had today at the Sephora store in Masonville Mall in London, Ontario, around 2:30–3:00 PM. During checkout, the Asian employee working at the register who assisted me was noticeably dismissive and rude when I asked questions about the products. Her tone and body language made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome as a customer. I remained polite throughout the interaction, but I left the store feeling embarrassed, sad, and disappointed. What especially bothered me was observing her interacting much more warmly and patiently with other customers around me, while treating me with visible irritation. As an immigrant in Canada, the experience made me feel singled out and unwelcome. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but this interaction genuinely affected me. London is a multicultural city, and I believe all customers deserve to be treated with respect regardless of their background, accent, or nationality.
