Hello,
I would like to make a complaint about an experience I had at Sephora today. I went to the store for a product exchange, and during the process I later realized that the $10 reward I had earned through my points disappeared because of the exchange. Nobody explained this to me beforehand. If I had known, I would have preferred to receive store credit instead.
When I politely asked about it, the employee named SHAB responded in a very aggressive and dismissive way. Her tone, facial expressions, and attitude made me feel uncomfortable instead of helping me understand the situation calmly.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced rude behavior from employees at this location. Today’s interaction affected me for the rest of the day and made me feel very upset.
English is not my first language, and although I was trying my best to explain myself, I felt that I was treated differently and not given patience or understanding. I felt disrespected and uncomfortable as a customer.
I am sharing this feedback because I believe customers should be treated with kindness, patience, and professionalism.

I went in to get colour matched and I was helped by Shab and it was honestly the best Sephora experience I’ve had. I usually avoid it because it feels intimidating but she was so professional and took the time to explained everything in easy to understand terms. She went through my undertones, what can make a shade look brighter or darker, coverage, etc. I wasn’t able to find an exact match but she mentioned how to make a slightly off shade work for ME. It was the best and I will be looking forward to her from now on

Brittnee is truly the best! Me and my family all go to her 😅 She’s so precise, puts so much care into her work, and always makes my brows look amazing. She’s also super sweet, welcoming, and makes every appointment such a good experience. Highly recommend 🤍

Absolutely horrible experience - employees talking amongst themselves, seemed like I was interrupting conversation when I asked a question. Asked for a recommendation and it seemed as if I was “asking for too much”. I then decided I would try and figure things out for myself and while doing so the security guard on duty that day made it a point to follow me around the store up until I was about to cash out which made me very uncomfortable. I have been in retail for 20+ years and I know what customer service is and this was absolutely the most horrible experience. I was in there for a total of 30 minutes trying to figure out things for myself whilst being watched and followed by a security guard all because staff would rather have conversation amongst themselves rather than assist a customer that genuinely wanted a recommendation. Honestly left feeling super humiliated with this entire situation. Absolutely horrible and felt really discriminated against.

I did the makeup tutorial appointment with Fatima today. She was so sweet! Super encouraging, demonstrating each step on one half of my face, then letting me try (with some gentle guidance) on the other half. The end result was wonderful, and I've been getting a lot of compliments, especially about the eyes. Just what I wanted - fairly natural, but beautiful.
I brought in the makeup and brushes I had at home so that Fatima could help me figure out what I needed to add to my kit (rather than buying everything new). I took detailed notes on my phone in between steps so that I'll have an easier time recreating the look on my own later. Highly recommend doing both.
Fatima was also sweet enough to offer her instagram handle so that I could ask her makeup questions if I had them later on. Thanks so much!
