i was profiled very intensely by an employee with gingerish hair and a headband today around 2:45pm. i was shopping with my mother and this employee followed us around the entire store. this prompted us to leave empty handed as we were being watched so closely (literally 3ft away) :(

I’ve been living in Canada for years, but honestly, every time I went into Sephora, I always found the experience a little intimidating. Sometimes it felt like employees assumed you were stealing, or they’d take products from your hands in a way that just made shopping uncomfortable. Because of that, I usually avoided shopping in store and never spent more than $100 in person.
But this visit was completely different. Gabby helped me find the perfect shade and made the whole experience feel so welcoming and comfortable. For the first time, I actually enjoyed shopping at Sephora instead of feeling anxious. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and it genuinely changed my perspective on shopping in store. Thank you, Gabby, for making the experience such a positive one!
The sensory experience is so off in here. Too loud, bright, and very hot. I was asked 3 times in the space of a minute whether I needed assistance, and one person did not leave me alone. I always get in and out as quickly as possible. Too bad as this is the only spot that carries some products I use.

Like so many of us, I was looking foe products to address older skin. I am also very fair and often cosmetics staff give me the wrong colours. It really doesn’t help when the lighting in the store is coloured. I also like to browse around and compare products and often buy stuff I didn’t come in for. At Sephora, however, the lights and noise were really off-putting. I got what i came for and got the heck out. It just seems like a place for a certain demographic and type of person. They lost money on me for sure. Two stars because the staff were generally nice.
I had an unpleasant experience on April 15, 2026, around 5:30 PM at the register. The staff member who assisted me, Prabhnoor, was rude and dismissive. While I was asking a question, she rolled her eyes, made facial expressions, and did not respond. Instead, she continued asking others ( indians like her ) beside the counter if they needed help, even though I was clearly the one speaking to her.
This interaction made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. Customer service should be welcoming and respectful to everyone. Thankfully, I later found another staff member who assisted me kindly and professionally.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future customers are treated with courtesy and respect.
