  I came in looking for a natural glam, glowy look and Alisha O far exceeded my expectations. Like me, she’s a perfectionist, and it shows in every detail of the work she did today. She has an incredible eye, took her time to get everything just right and was so kind throughout. I left feeling radiant and completely myself, just elevated. I would definitely recommend Alisha if you’re looking to feel extra beautiful!

  Went in to test a setting spray and this worker in a rude tone said don’t do that, I wish I would’ve gotten her name and she rolled her eyes lol, also I turned around to look at her and overheard her talking trash to her co worker. Honestly embarrassing yikes 😬

  I am leaving this review to bring a serious customer-service concern at the Sephora Halifax Shopping Centre location. I purchased a NARS foundation for my wife after being color-matched by a Sephora employee. Unfortunately, the shade did not match. She has also experienced previous issues with shade recommendations from staff. I want to acknowledge Manpreet, the associate who assisted me. She was listened to my concern and was trying to help me. My concern is specifically with how the situation was handled by the manager on duty, who became dismissive and made several inappropriate statements. I returned the full bottle, which had only been used once, and requested a return or exchange. Sephora’s published return policy states that in-store purchases may be returned within the applicable return period when the product is new or gently used and accompanied by a receipt or gift receipt. I therefore expected the return to at least be reviewed in accordance with the company’s policy. Instead, the manager on duty refused the return and told me to "gift it to someone else." When I explained that I could not reasonably give another person an opened liquid foundation, her response was: “This is your problem.” That response was particularly concerning because the product had been purchased following a Sephora employee’s professional color-matching recommendation. I understand that Sephora has return requirements and that returns are subject to validation, but I expected the situation to be handled respectfully and professionally, particularly when the issue arose from a product recommendation made in store. I am contacting Sephora Customer Service separately to request that the transaction be reviewed and that the return be resolved in accordance with the applicable policy. I am also asking that the manager’s handling of this interaction be reviewed by the appropriate management team. The main issue for me is not the cost of the foundation. It is the refusal to assist and the statement "This is your problem” when I was needed help with a product I purchased based on an employee’s recommendation. I hope Sephora takes this interaction seriously and follows up appropriately with the store.

  I’ve been shopping at Sephora for years, and I wanted to share some honest feedback about the Halifax Shopping Centre location. One thing I’ve noticed is that customer service can feel quite lacking. When my friends and I come in, there often isn’t anyone who acknowledges us or asks if we need help. I completely understand that staff can be busy, but there have also been times when some employees appear to have downtime — chatting, standing around, or even touching up their own makeup — while customers are browsing without any acknowledgment. A simple “Hi, can I help you find anything?” would make such a difference. That’s why I really want to recognize Taylor. She was the one who actually approached us, asked if we needed help, and was genuinely warm, welcoming, and friendly. She made us feel noticed and valued as customers. We need more employees like Taylor! A special shoutout as well to Sally, who has always been wonderful with my friends and my mom. My mom shops at Sephora regularly, but recently wanted help finding her exact shade. Sally took the time to properly shade-match her, understand her skin concerns, and help her find the right products from the brand she wanted. That kind of personalized service is exactly what makes a shopping experience enjoyable. And Dwanique at the cash was an absolute angel — so friendly, warm, and pleasant. Taylor, Sally, and Dwanique really stood out and made our experience so much better. I genuinely appreciate employees who take the time to acknowledge customers and make them feel welcome. I just hope Sephora can bring more of that level of attentiveness and customer service to the Halifax location, because it really does make a difference.
