The store was not busy when I and my daughter walked in the whole time. The first Asian lady SA was pretty nice and helpful at the beginning. But maybe I and my daughter took too long exploring the perfume, she suddenly disappeared without letting us know ahead of time. When my daughter wanted a sample of 2 perfumes she wanted to try, she had to ask this other younger lady SA. She did give my daughter the 2 small perfume sample vials. So when I was ready to check out, I spontaneously looked for this younger lady SA to help me. But she was busy looking at her cell phone. She looked annoyed when I asked her to help me check out. She asked me “Do you need a bag?” I was surprised she asked me that question. When I bought stuff at Chanel, I always get the merchandise nicely wrapped with a bow on the bag. And the perfume I bought was big and heavy. How can a customer carry it bare handed? Also, I always get 2 free samples but this time, she only gave me one. I wondered if it’s because my daughter got 2 samples already? Or because when she asked me if anyone helped us today and I told her “the Asian lady SA”??? It’s not the free samples that mattered, it just made me feel like I don’t deserve them. When I got home, I saw this $0.10 checkout bag charge. Is there a new policy now every customer get charged for the shopping paper bags? Maybe it is and I didn’t know? This is the first time I went to this Chanel fragrance and beauty store at Century City because I didn’t want to go to the Chanel boutique just for a perfume. And I didn’t want to blind buy online. I guess I picked the wrong store because this one does not have the whole Les Exclusifs line of perfume, it’s hard to find a parking spot and the parking fee is costly. The most important thing is, the SA’s are all not customer oriented. I feel like they do what they want and they do not stick to the proper Chanel customer service standard. I feel like I was just shopping at a supermarket at this Chanel fragrance and beauty store at Century City. I picked my stuff, go to the cashier to check out and the supermarket cashier ask you “do you need a bag?”, and I reply “yes, I need a bag”, packed my stuff inside the bag, pay, and bye. I feel like the supermarket cashiers are nicer, at least they say thank you and smile. But the younger lady SA at the check out did not even know how to do these 2 simple things. Very shocked and disappointed.
