  I got pierced at the Irvine Spectrum location and it was the most relaxing comforting experience ever. Jalen has the best hands ever and aside from the inevitable pain you will feel it was fast and calming. All my questions were answered and it's only been 24 hours and my ears feel good. Slightly tender but really really good.

  I recently took my two daughters and myself to Studs for ear piercings, and while the experience had some positives, I left feeling extremely frustrated with the pricing transparency. We each selected earrings that were labeled $95, and naturally assumed that was for a pair. Before getting started, I asked the front desk for my total and if I could pay upfront. I was told we would handle payment after the piercings were done. Looking back, I really wish I had pushed for a clear total at that point. Our piercer, Jaylen, was fantastic. He was professional, patient, and made all three of us feel comfortable throughout the process. No complaints there at all. However, when it came time to pay, I was shocked to find out the earrings were $95 per earring, not per pair, on top of the piercing fees. The total came out to over $250 per person, which brought us close to $800 for three ear piercings. I’m not someone who minds paying for quality, but this felt very misleading. I specifically asked about the total beforehand and was not given clear information or the opportunity to review the full cost before services were performed. Overall, great piercer, but the lack of pricing transparency at the front desk left me feeling blindsided. I would strongly recommend that future customers ask for a full breakdown before starting.

  I recently got a third lobe piercing here and I’m very disappointed with how it turned out. While the studio itself seemed clean, the execution of the piercing was not what I expected. Both my piercing were pierced at an angle causing it to appear droopy and not centered. I even went to a different location in San Diego to get a second opinion, and I was told that the piercing would likely heal at this angle which is not what I wanted and not what I expected from a professional piercing. I also sent an email to the studio a few days after my appointment expressing my concerns, and it has now been about two weeks with no response. That lack of follow up has been really frustrating. For something as simple as a lobe piercing, I expected better precision, especially since angle plays a big role in how it looks long term. Overall, I’m disappointed with both the result and the lack of communication, and I wish more care had been taken during the piercing process.

  I got pierced at their Irvine Spectrum location and the environment was super welcoming and friendly. I was greeted and pierced by Jalen Dominique, who was super friendly and outgoing. He really made sure I was getting the right piercing and placement for my anatomy. He was encouraging and light handed while doing the piercing and ultimately made it an amazing experience. Jalen, if you see this, thank you so much, you were seriously so sweet.
