At the time of my arrival, the barber I requested was available with no waiting period. Mohammad, excellent barber with great professional and social skills, invited me to his chair; however, the assistant store manager, Maryann, abruptly interrupted our interaction and instructed Mohammad to take a 10-minute break, which she indicated was required by law. I attempted to explain that my trim would take less than 10 minutes and that the break could be taken immediately afterward. While I understand and respect compliance with legal requirements, I found Maryann’s manner to be unprofessional and not customer-oriented. I am sharing this feedback to express my dissatisfaction with the interaction.
