- ARAva RichardsonDec 30, 20254.0Don’t want to name names, since the lady was super nice, but I had a very simple haircut in mind that I communicated to her, and even showed her a clear picture of what I was looking for. My barber got carried away and did another style that was somewhat similar, but still completely different from what I had originally asked for. She kept styling it and framing it around my face, saying how good the cut looked on me. The difference wasn’t super noticeable until after it was fully finished. Afterwards, when I asked her how I should style it to the haircut I had ORIGINALLY asked for, she looked almost surprised, like she completely forgot what my original request was. She seemed panicked and quickly asked if she could work with some of my hair again, to which I declined. Only one star is taken off because the haircut she went with looked rather decent in the end, but I still wish I had gotten what I came in and waited 45 minutes for. I respectfully don’t care for whatever haircut you think would look good on me unless I consented to it. I pay for haircuts so I can get what I asked for, like almost anything else. Re-clarifying the type of cut with the client right before making any changes might help with this issue in the future, since my barber did seem a little distracted this time.
