- MCMallory Cathell6 days ago5.0I came in for an 80 minute stretch massage with a deep tissue add on with Meredith. This was an absolutely amazing experience. Meredith’s communication was excellent before, during, and after the massage. I was asked questions about what I wanted and needed. The massage pressure was perfect and Meredith found, and very skillfully worked on, my problematic areas. 10/10 recommend. Everything in the actual business was very clean, calming, and well organized. The front staff were all very friendly, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable.

They even called me three times to remind me of the appointment. But when we showed up, they cancelled it on the spot, saying the massage therapist had just called in sick. Emergencies do happen, but the way it was handled felt completely unempathetic. After so many confirmations, we should have been notified well before arriving. I had dropped my wife off expecting to continue working on her birthday surprises, but instead we were left standing there with no solution and no consideration for how inconvenient it was. I hope they improve how they manage cancellations, but based on this visit, I can’t recommend this location.

The customer service experience at The NOW Massage is exceptional. I came in for my first massage in June because of a Mother's Day gift I received from my partner. The first massage I received was disappointing. The owner reached out to me immediately after I delivered the feedback to the experience guides (their front desk) and they offered to comp my next massage and that's when I met Latasha. I've been with her every since. I can't stop sharing my love for The NOW Massage in Emeryville. They are worth every penny and more. Thank you for opening up this beautiful massage boutique in the East Bay.
