My stylist was LaCrecia and she gave me the best experience I’ve had in LA so far. She was very nice and very helpful for my natural hair journey. My hair feels healthy and soft after the treatment. The pricing was reasonable and I am very satisfied with the results!

I’m not from L.A.—I’m from the South—and I loved the service I used to receive at the JCPenney Salon in Pine Bluff, AR. So naturally, I assumed I’d get the same level of professionalism and care here in Culver City. What a mistake. That assumption couldn’t have been more wrong.
I called to schedule my very first appointment and asked for a consultation beforehand—something any stylist serious about hair health should welcome. Instead, I was treated like a burden. The first person I spoke to sounded irritated from the start. Then, mid-conversation while I was explaining my hair goals, she just handed the phone off—no heads-up, no proper handoff—just suddenly, “Hi, this is someone else—she had to get back to her client. This the manager... what do you need?” That was it. Cold. Dismissive. Unprofessional.
At that point, I declined to move forward. If that's how they welcome a new client—especially with the manager being the one to carry that energy—there’s no way I’d trust them with my hair. I have long, healthy, natural hair down my back, and I fully intend to keep it that way by avoiding salons like this.
It’s really sad. I always get excited to see Black women working in salons because I expect understanding and care when it comes to thick, coarse, textured hair. But too often—like in this case—the professionalism is just not there. The vibes were cold, the tone was dismissive, and the lack of basic courtesy was appalling.
And it made sense when I saw the place practically empty in person. That kind of energy will drive away potential loyal clients. Respect and professionalism should never be reserved for “familiar faces” or personal referrals only—especially not at a national chain salon.
I truly hope they get it together, because the bar is on the floor and still being missed.

Hi, I was costumer for a haircut and Marlita was the most lovely and profesional hairstylist. I have a limited english proficiency and she makes me feel so comfortable because she understands everything what I needed. Thank you so much.

Zero customer service. Walked in while at the mall to book an appointment for a future day. Specifically came here as I needed an appointment past 5pm. I inquired how late I could book, as online states they are open until 7, and instead was asked what time I wanted. I said 5:30 and was told 'nobody will be here at that time.' That was it. No offer for another day at that time, or anything else. Was not even asked what services I wanted or needed. Commented I would find something elsewhere. No apologies or cares. I suppose they don't need anyones business. A note to management....maybe have your business hours reflect when your stylists will actually be working.
