- AHAdam HirschNov 17, 20254.0This place is a really amazing k-spa, and it would get a full 5 stars from me if not for one issue: the saunas are just not hot enough. The men's dry sauna was about 150F, compared to Wi Spa's which is about 180F. The steam sauna was max 110F, as compared to 125F at WiSpa. The hottest co-ed sauna was 177F, compared to the 212F bulgama at Wi. It's too bad because everything else about Spa Hyu beats every other k-spa in LA: it is amazingly clean, excellent lighting/ambiance, super comfortable mats and chairs all over the jimjilbang, friendly staff, a great cold plunge and tubs, really nice showers and soap products, and an affordable price at $35. I hope they crank up the temp!

I've call to make an appointment for my husband and I, the receptionist asked me to pay in advance for the appointment scheduled for tomorrow. I had spa experiences for at least two decades and had never been asked to pay for a service I have not received.
- CPCody PhamOct 26, 20255.0The Spa Hyu is my favorite Korea spa. The amenities feel clean and new. I especially like the wet room of The Spa Hyu because of its aesthetics. It feels like there was extra care put in to make the wet room visually pleasing. The wood paneling and light colors are harmonious and nice to look at. The lighting is not too harsh. The food is delicious and healthy. I’ve tried a lot of items on the menu, including the ramen, ribeye bulgogi, matcha bingsoo, and naengmyeon. I have yet to find something I don’t like. I especially like the rice punch. The common area is relaxing and has very comfortable couches. The staff are also very professional and kind. The spa is also never too crowded, which I hope will continue to be true in the future.

While it's understandable to hold individuals accountable for safety, asking for things like my driver's license number, phone number, and full name exposes personal information. And when you don't know how the establishment will use that information, I find it unfair to ask for such personal information for a service that simply involves a bath, sweating, and a massage. So, I left without signing.
