  I cannot recommend it to anybody. I had an appointment for 9:15 AM. I got there a little before 9 and was confused about how to get in. At 9 they finally opened the gate. At about 910 I go in. When I walk into the salon portion someone in a smock said something to a woman who is already there and quickly walks to the back. I just sit in the chair and wait bc idk if this is a stylist or receptionist or something else or if she’s gonna come back and ask me. About five minutes later she did not come back, I see her working on someone’s head through a mirror so I’m like OK she must be a stylist. She appears to be the only stylist there which was confusing to me because when I booked the appointment, there were so many stylist and options for this time and I get it if no one had booked an appointment for other stylist, then they wouldn’t be there, but that seems odd in the scheme of so many stylist and nobody else booked an appointment with other stylists on a Saturday morning? A man walks by who is some type of employee walks through the reception area to the salon and ask the woman who the previous person had mumbled something to if she had been helped. She said yes she knows I’m here and he said nothing to me. I am confused because this is my first time at this place I have not had my hair done in years. I don’t know how things operate so I don’t know what’s going on. About 10 minutes after all this though woman who I guess is a stylist comes back and gets the lady who is waiting who she had first said something to as I was walking in. Another 10 minutes goes by and I’m still just sitting there with nothing no acknowledgment from anybody. I don’t need a greeting, I just need to know what’s going on because this is my first time here. Is the person I booked even here? Do I just wait in this reception area? Do I walk to the back of the salon and alert somebody I’m here? And if so, who? After 20 minutes of physically just sitting there and 30 minutes their total I just left. While 20 minutes isn’t long for a salon from my memory of being a salon. I want to truly emphasize that this is my first time here so I don’t know how any of this works or what’s going on and nobody was around to even ask. I was really looking forward to getting my hair done after so long and I just left there crying. I partially blame myself for not doing my due diligence on this place. I just saw somebody mention it and it seemed like it was old school styling because all I see on social media is about deposits and things like that and I literally haven’t gotten my hair done in about 20 years when things were clearly very different. It seemed easy to book online and get the full experience like what I had when I did used to go get my hair done, but that didnt happen.

  What’s frustrating is you aren’t saved from the “hey boo” text even from here. What’s the point of having a service and time available for your booking site if you aren’t available and can’t do the style?? Forsure learned my lesson.

  I visited JCP salon to get my hair washed and styled by Rebecca. She always listens to my request and makes suggestions for my hair type. I really appreciate the care and knowledge that she brings to her work.
