She listened carefully to what I was looking for and gave me helpful recommendations without making me feel pressured. Emma was patient, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit.   first time buying makeup in 10+ years, and only looking for a couple basic/cheap products. The store is busy, spent a while trying to find a staff member to help. Having never been in a makeup store before, it seemed bright, clean, and organized which was nice. The staff seem miserable when I asked them for help, but they helped me find exactly what I needed, and respected my budget to find a product that I could afford. They seem good at their job, and know where everything is right away. Checkout staff was the same, seemed grumpy and cold, but still did a fine job. Overall ok experience, left with what I needed, and In my price range, but feeling judged/looked down on by the staff. This location (at least just on this day) definitely re-enforced the 'scary and mean' stereotype that makeup store employees have. 😂 3 stars because employees just seemed sad and dis-interested. (Possibly due to my outfit/looks being very casual, or being new to makeup) Otherwise it seems like a good store.

  Sephora Robson used to be my favorite Sephora. I know almost the entire team there, and I’ve always had a great relationship with them and genuinely enjoyed shopping there. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with the security team have been quite uncomfortable. I understand that security has an important responsibility to prevent theft and protect the store, but the way some interactions are handled can come across as unnecessarily confrontational and can leave customers feeling as though they are being treated as potential thieves without any clear reason. If there are concerns about theft, I believe there are more professional and respectful ways to address them. For example, a clear and consistent security procedure similar to what you might experience at an airport, where belongings can be checked or temporarily held and returned upon exit would feel much more appropriate than having multiple security staff closely follow a customer throughout the store. Security measures are understandable, but they should be implemented in a way that protects the store while also respecting customers and preserving their dignity. No customer should leave a store feeling uncomfortable or singled out. It’s especially disappointing because I genuinely love the Robson location and have always had such positive experiences with the Sephora team there. I hope the security approach can be reviewed, because the current experience is unfortunately making me consider shopping online instead.
