- ALAndy LiuDec 31, 20251.0I used to enjoy shopping here, but my visit last Sunday (Dec 28, 2025) was a terrible experience due to staff attitude and inconsistent communication. I arrived around 6:40 PM and politely asked two employees at the entrance whether it was still okay to shop. Both said yes. I came ready to spend and support The Cosmetics Company Store. I was shopping for two people (my friend was finishing at the Tesla charging station), and I selected duplicate items for each of us. At checkout, I clearly explained it was for two customers and even provided two names/phone numbers/accounts. After the promotions (40% off plus an extra 15% over $125), the total was still over $300. That’s not a small purchase. This was us deliberately choosing The Cosmetics Company Store because we like this store’s shopping experience and usually have a fun, positive time here (not because we couldn’t shop elsewhere, like Nordstrom). We were prepared to keep buying and “invest” our money into this store. Then the staff abruptly changed their story about timing. They initially said they were giving me “an extra 10 minutes” and that the register would close at 7:10 PM, but once I mentioned my friend was arriving in about 2 minutes, they suddenly insisted they would close the register at 7:05 PM—when it was already 7:05. They became rude, dismissive, and even yelled, acting like I was “pushing” them when I was simply clarifying the situation. They also made excuses about a free gift being “only for one person,” even though the purchase was clearly for two people with duplicate items and two accounts. Ultimately, as their attitude became worse and worse (rude, dismissive, and escalating). I had no choice but to leave, and as soon as I stepped out, my friend arrived—but we were not allowed back in. This wasn’t about discounts or gifts. It was the disrespectful, hostile service and the feeling that I had to beg (or provide emotional support to the employee) in order to spend money there. Management should set clear last-entry/register policies and train staff on basic customer respect.

I ran in and the staff immediately helped pick out all my makeup! I was so pleased with the staff and my husband was so surprised by how quickly I was out of the store. 🥰 Great prices and awesome staff!

I was looking for help on make-up for myself and I'm not very knowledgeable about this stuff. Haven't used much of it in my younger years. I asked for help and Savannah who worked at the store was ready to assist. She was THE BEST! Very friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and provided the best in customer service. I was very happy with the whole experience. She helped me select the color schemes that worked best for me. Great products. Great prices. And Savannah was a rock star! Highly recommend!
