- RPRon ProsciuttoMay 10, 20261.0So what's the point of online check in if you're still going to go off "first come first served"? I checked in online, the app texted me 15 mins ahead to say come to the store. I walked in, and there were two people waiting My name was number 1 on the list. The staff member asled everyone's names, and one of the people pointed to their name and said they are number 2. I said I'm at number 1, and she said okay number 2 you're up next. I presume it's because he checked in online and then showed up at the store before me. But that defeats the purpose of checking in online, no? If I didn't want to wait, I'd just go to the store right away. Why bother checking in online? If I decide to show up 30 seconds before my appointment time, that should be good enough. Why do I have to check in first AND show up first? What's the point. If I'm going to end up waiting, maybe the app shouldn't wait until 15 mins before my appointment to let me know. Maybe it should say "you're checked in online but this whole system is useless so if you want to be first in line GO NOW otherwise leave whenever you want because online check in is meaningless lol". Your business practice makes no sense. I didn't tip because of this, it's kind of asinine.
- PPPrince PatelMay 10, 20261.0Worst barbershop ‘Great Clips at Braeside’ I have ever visited in Calgary. Please avoid the older lady with glasses if you care about your hair. She genuinely does not know how to cut hair properly. I clearly and repeatedly asked her to keep around 2 inches on top, but she cut it down to barely 0.5 inch. I also asked for a #1 clipper on the sides, and even that was done horribly and unevenly. Completely ruined my haircut. On top of that, when I showed the mailed coupon I received, her reaction was extremely disrespectful. She literally gave me a pissed-off expression and said, “Oh, that’s why you are here.” Imagine treating paying customers differently just because they’re using a coupon YOU mailed out yourselves. If you’re in the guest experience industry, maybe start acting like it. The attitude, professionalism, and haircut quality here were honestly terrible. I will never return again, and I strongly recommend people avoid this place. Don’t fall for the coupon trap. Instead, go to LA Barbershop in the same plaza they actually know what they’re doing and give proper customer service.

No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
