- MMMelody MaleitzkeDec 31, 20232.0I visited the new spa during my recent stay in Whistler. I was appalled to discover that cellphone usage was allowed in the changing rooms and in the Relaxation Lounge. Upon arriving in the changing room, phones were out and being used. None of the staff who were present in the changing room discouraged it. When I went into the Relaxation Lounge, which was not relaxing, I saw that everyone except me had their cellphone out. Two customers were taking pics. Someone's phone kept receiving notifications. Again, not one staff member stopped it even when they came into the lounge to greet their guest. Ugh! I thought maybe the "after treatment," Relaxation Lounge would be better. Nope! A guy had an iPad open typing away, and his companion's phone was alerting in her robe pocket. I searched everywhere for signs or something that may say "Cellphone usage in the Spa is Not allowed." None were anywhere. Needless to say, I will make sure to ask about cellphone policy before I book again. This $415 Signature Treatment was a waste of my money.
