I had a really uncomfortable experience at this Sephora location today. The moment we walked in, the greeter at the front asked “What are you looking for today?” in a very abrupt, almost rude tone — before we even had a chance to step inside or look around. It immediately made the interaction awkward.
Within the first 3 minutes of browsing, my sister and I were approached 4–5 times by different staff asking if we needed help, even though it was clear I was already picking up a Touchland sanitizer and browsing on my own. It felt excessive and made us feel watched rather than welcomed.
I normally love Sephora and have never had this experience at other locations, but today it honestly felt uncomfortable and uninviting. I hope the store can improve the customer approach so people feel free to browse without pressure.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! at this newly opened location. Last night I went into the Guildford Sephora location to complete a return but it was about 20min to check out so I thought I’d be courteous and just complete my new purchase so I wouldn’t hold up the lien with a return.
Fast forward to today I explained the situation to the cashier Navdeep at this location and she explained to me that I was out of my return period and she could not complete the return. I purchased an item on Oct 11th today is Nov 11th the return policy is 30 days so yesterday would have been my last day to do a return (as I confirmed with their customer service chat after this interaction). The manager Shelia came over and unfortunately couldn’t count and explained that the last day for me to do a return would have been Nov 9th. They could see my purchase made at Guidlford the day before and I explained that the return policy is 30 days which would have been yesterday. Shelia was instant that I was over the policy by a few days and could make a one time exception and offer me a store credit. If it actually was a few days or a week I would understand not offering a refund but one day over when there was proof that I was in another store the day before on top of the hundreds of dollars spent during this sale time to box it all back up and return to this location my Christmas presents can be bought elsewhere and I can take my business to a company more deserving.

I had such a wonderful experience at Sephora thanks to Paula. She was so kind, patient, and truly took her time helping me find the right foundation. Even though the store was incredibly busy and people kept stopping her with questions, she never made me feel rushed or overlooked. I could tell she genuinely cared about helping me feel confident in my choice. Her warmth and professionalism really stood out — it made my visit feel personal and special. Emily K did an amazing job on my Halloween look.
She took her time and asked me questions and Educated me on the makeup like what would work better for the look. She was professional and very kind. The amount of compliments I received that night on my Penny Weiss look was dangerous for my ego (lol) . Thanks again Emily !
