  This review is about a horrible haircut at 6350 120st, in the Boundary Park area, but it’s also even more about how the owner has handled it. (Updated Dec.22: The bot-generated “owner’s” reply is a joke. Customer Service had notified the owner multiple times!) (“tldr”version: my hair was completely destroyed. The owner doesn’t care.) Before this horrible haircut, my hair was thick, and “wash-and-go.” Now, my hair is thin and straggly. I look like someone with a serious illness, who is losing her hair. (I’ve included a picture to show you what I mean. Every day, I have to spend (waste!) so much time to style it just to make sure that it look the least embarrassing but there isn’t much I can do with the straggly, thinned out hair! I hesitated to write this review because I don’t want it to affect other stylists at the location and their livelihood. I am not going to mention the name of the stylist who butchered my hair either because she was very nice, and I don’t want to affect her livelihood either. (If she reads this review, I hope she will learn not to go so crazy with the thinning shears with her future clients. She is a nice person.) But being nice and being able to cut hair are two different things. It will take me at least 6 months to grow all this out. (A lesson for me, always make sure to tell future stylists, to NEVER use thinning shears to thin out 2/3 of my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if they may have some good reviews! (Who knew!) I went to the to have a trim, to blend in the two distinct layers that I had on my hair. I told the stylist that I really liked the way that my hair looked, especially in the front I just needed it to be blended in the back. Just blended! I told her that I had read some good reviews on her, and thought I was in good hands. I was wrong. When it was finally done, most of my hair was gone! And there was a huge pile of hair in the floor! I think the stylist went too crazy with the thinning shears!!!! My hair is shoulder length, and it’s now so thinned out from the tip of my hair up around my ears. It looks straggly all over! She must’ve taken out 2/3 of the volume of my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All over my head. (I should’ve taken a picture of the pile of hair on the floor, that she had removed from my head!) My hair is embarrassingly straggly now. I look like a sick patient who is losing her hair, and who needs a haircut!! Just insanely upsetting!!! And the kicker is that the back is not even blended. It’s even worse - as you can see in the picture. It still has two distinct layers, but the layers are much more noticeable, shorter, and very thin and straggly - and much, much uglier than before. But because the hairstylist was very nice, like an idiot that I was, I didn’t want her to feel bad so I paid - and even tipped her! (I was also really hoping to get over the initial shock and get used to the new haircut.) But a few days went by, and I couldn’t get used to this sickly-looking, straggly hair. I contacted customer service who said that the owner or someone from the salon, would call me back. No call. I checked with customer service again, and they said they would remind the owner that I was waiting for a call. Still no callback. No email. No messages. Nothing. It’s been 10 days. “Hassle-free haircuts” is their claim? Does getting your hair completely butchered count as a hassle? On top of the horrible haircut, it is an added insult that the owner has completely ignored my message - while claiming “satisfaction guaranteed.” He obviously doesn’t care about his customers, despite the fact that he seems to want to get customers into his salon. His salon has been having promotional coupons to get more customers in. And it is ironic that he did get a customer in, but doesn’t care to keep her. I will never set foot in that salon again even if they gave me a free haircut! Would you want your hair butchered for free? (And be ignored by an owner who couldn’t care less how butchered your hair is.)
