- TSTracy SNov 11, 20251.0Ok. I brought my daughter here in January for a trim. We asked for long layers. The hairdresser cut and cut and cut and left her hair a complete mess. It was SOO short, SO uneven my daughter literally called home from school sick because she was so embarrassed of her haircut. I just brought my son in very recently (different hairdresser) and she completely botched my son’s hair!! I asked for a boys haircut short on the sides fade to longer on top. Very common. He has uneven “bangs” and was made fun of as it looks like a bowl. I will never ever come here again. Are these hairdressers even certified?? I wasn’t going to post a review. But when I came home with my son looking at his hair I just had to.

Then say she's closing in 30 mins and I got no haircut. What's the point of signing in? Why use the online check in? It would have been the same blond girl again who I walked out on before. So prolly for the best Zero stars.

Unfortunately this one was worse, I had to explain how to blend the hair from the top to the side just to make it look good enough to walk out of there. If we stopped where she thought she was done I would have had to go to another salon to get it fixed, but it was okay enough I could fix it myself at home.

When is Online Check-In available?
Online Check-In becomes available five minutes after the salon opens. We accept Online Check-Ins up to the point where the estimated wait time is as long as the salon will remain open, or 30 minutes before closing time at the latest.
Can I use Online Check-In for all types of services?
Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
