    I don't shop at Sephora super often, and normally have an okay experience here but today left a bad taste in my mouth. I purchased a hair product yesterday; I typically don't get to treat myself like this but I had a gift card. Unfortunately, upon opening the box, I found the glass bottle of the product had been smashed. I quickly called the store even though it was a few minutes after close, but luckily someone answered and told me I could bring it for an exchange once they were open, no problem.. everything went fine at the till until the supervisor (I am assuming that is who it was) came over and was immediately hostile. Insinuated I lied about speaking with someone the night before (just ask whoever was closing, they can confirm they spoke with me), made faces, rolled her eyes and made me feel like a criminal for wanting my $90 product to be usable. Sorry I dont have the spare funds to just suck it up! I don't think I've done a Sephora return in years, if at all, so this was a really surprising and disappointing experience. Making people feel scrutinized and embarrassed for doing what should be a simple exchange/return is really unnecessary and poor customer service.

    I purchased a perfume on December 14 and asked the staff if there were any upcoming discounts. I was told no. However, starting the very next day, the same perfume was discounted. On December 26, I returned to the store after my friend told me she bought the same perfume with a 20% discount. When I asked about it, I was told to bring my perfume back and they would apply the discount for me. The next day, I brought the perfume as instructed, but then I was told that the staff had made a mistake and that the discount could not be applied. I found this experience very disappointing. I was not properly guided, and I received conflicting and incorrect information from the staff. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. I expected clearer communication and better customer service from Sephora.
