    I went to this Sephora location on January 4th to redeem a Beauty Insider birthday gift for my mom’s December 31 birthday and was told by the 2 cashiers and the manager around 6:40pm, it was not possible because the birthday month had passed. This is not true. Sephora’s own website clearly states that birthday gifts can be redeemed up to two weeks before and two weeks after the birthday, in addition to the birthday month. Being only 4 days after the birthday, this should have been eligible. When I mentioned this, staff insisted the policy had “changed” but could not show any written policy or official source to support that claim. Giving customers information that directly contradicts what is stated online is misleading and frustrating. Sephora needs to ensure staff are properly trained and that policies are applied honestly and consistently across locations. I shop at Sephora a lot and as a rouge member this ruined my day.

    I went into the store and asked for help finding a foundation similar to Rare Beauty, since the shade I wanted was sold out everywhere. A staff member named Alicia came over to assist me. Instead of showing me products in person, she started scrolling through options on the Sephora phone and asking me which brand I wanted. She showed me 7–8 different brands on the phone, but I explained that I would prefer if she could show me the actual products so we could test them, because I don’t know which brands have which coverage or how they would look on my skin. Even after I explained this clearly, she kept repeating the same question — “You have to choose from here first, then I can show you, right?” This happened multiple times, and it felt like she wasn’t listening at all. I came to a Sephora specialist because I needed guidance, not to be told to decide everything myself. Eventually she took me to the Sephora Tint, even though I specifically said I was looking for a foundation. What makes this more frustrating is that this is the second time in the past 15 days that I’ve left the store feeling ignored and not properly helped. It seems like some staff members are unwilling to assist or make the effort to understand what the customer needs. Not all employees are like this, but I’ve noticed that around 60% of the time, the service at this location has been unhelpful and disappointing. I expect better when I come in for expert advice, especially when I genuinely don’t know which product will work for me and rely on the staff for guidance. Whenever i visit this store . Few of the staff members make me feel discriminated. Specially alicia
