If he's not interested to work there, why bother going to work at all. Overall poor quality, rushing, and rude.
- BPBetsy PonceSep 16, 20251.0Review of Great Clips (Visit: Monday, around 1 PM) I came in to donate my hair and expected a simple, supportive experience. Unfortunately, the service I received was disappointing from start to finish. As soon as I mentioned donating my hair, the stylist’s attitude shifted and she acted like she didn’t want to be there. When I asked for layers, she said she could only do “long layers” — but didn’t even follow through on that. I explained that I have naturally wavy hair, and she dismissed me, saying it was only wavy “because of a braid.” When I asked her opinion on styles, she flatly told me, “Don’t ask me, I have short curly hair.” At one point, my husband spoke with her coworker, and instead of focusing on my haircut, she made a pointed comment like, “I don’t ignore people,” as if to justify her attitude. The way she brushed and pulled my hair was rough, and when she finished, both the front and back were noticeably uneven. Still, when she asked if I liked it, I just wanted to leave — so I said yes, paid, and even tipped, though the service did not deserve it. Donating hair should be treated with care, patience, and professionalism, and unfortunately, that was not the case here.

The stylist Joann, wouldn't do what my wife wanted until another stylist came over and told her to just do what my wife asked. My wife has been growing her hair out for a long time so she didn't want ANY length cut off, she just wanted some layers starting at her shoulders. Yet they cut off 4 inches and started the layers at her chest level. Even with her coaching the stylist the whole time on how to do her job, they still managed to not listen. This isn't target where you can just return the item you don't like, she's now stuck with hair she absolutely hates until it grows back. I've never experienced such incompetence for a simple hair cut.

When she's not at her normal salon, I call around the valley and find where she's working, and dad and I end up over there! She's really an asset and if you want an excellent hairdresser, ask for Lori!

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
