  Rowan is an absolute must-go for all your piercing needs. A huge shout-out to the fact that their piercers are registered nurses. As someone who personally holds an OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens license, I can confidently say this establishment far exceeds cleanliness and safety standards. I wasn’t the one receiving a piercing, I was there as support for my friend, but after witnessing her experience, I’m seriously considering getting a second piercing myself. I would strongly recommend making an appointment. It may have been especially busy when we arrived due to the holidays, but busy or not, an appointment is the way to go. Rowan offers both needle piercings and device piercings, and it’s important to note they do not use the outdated “gun” method. Our nurse, Zaira, took the time to speak with my friend to fully understand her desired end result. After a thorough assessment and careful marking of her ears (with my friend’s approval at each step), Zaira determined that a device piercing would be the best approach over a needle piercing. After the assessment, Zaira re-gloved and prepared a sterile tray before beginning the procedure. My friend also shared that she has a strong fear of needles and tends to feel nauseous or pass out. After the first piercing, Zaira was incredibly attentive, ensuring my friend felt comfortable and stable before proceeding. Within minutes, both piercings were complete, and they looked amazing. Rowan truly delivers exceptional customer service with highly skilled, professional nurses who prioritize safety at every level. Their setup, and sterile breakdown, ensure no risk of bloodborne pathogen transfer. They use only hypoallergenic earrings and even offer complimentary follow-up evaluations to make sure healing is on track. Overall, Rowan sets the gold standard for safe, professional piercings. Highly recommend.

  **Update: I want to share an update after posting my initial review. The manager from the Scottsdale location reached out to me the same day, listened to my concerns, and ultimately made this right. I truly appreciate how quickly and thoughtfully the situation was handled at the local level. While the initial corporate customer service response was disappointing, the in-store leadership demonstrated exactly why we chose Rowan in the first place. Their willingness to listen and resolve the issue restored my confidence and meant a lot to us as parents. I’m grateful for the follow-up and for the care shown toward our daughter.** We chose Rowan for our three-year-old specifically because of their safety standards and premium reputation. The in-store experience at the Scottsdale location was excellent, and the staff were kind, professional, and wonderful with our daughter. We splurged and paid a premium price for her device earrings because we were told by staff that she would have a better experience with higher-quality jewelry. Unfortunately, less than two months after her piercing, one of her earrings fell out and was lost. My daughter was understandably upset, and despite following all aftercare instructions, we were told there was no flexibility outside of a strict 30-day replacement policy. While customer service was polite, the response ultimately felt like “sorry, but policy,” which was disappointing given the cost of the jewelry, how recently the piercing occurred, and the fact that this involved a young child. For a brand that positions itself as premium, I expected a more human, goodwill-based resolution. I was simply hoping for a replacement of the single missing earring. I wish this had been handled differently, as it really took away from what was otherwise a very positive experience.

  The employees at this store are so nice and helpful. I was shopping for my girlfriend, and they were able to chose a few pairs she would like. She ended up loving all of them! We’ll definitely be back for piercings and jewelry.

  On a recent vacation in Scottsdale I decided to get a few new piercings in my ears. In looking for a place to go, I stumbled across Rowan and found the Scottsdale Quarter location, which was just a hop, skip, and a jump away from where I was staying. Very convenient!! Upon entering the shop I was greeted by Claire whose pleasant demeanor and friendly smile quickly put me at ease and made me feel so welcomed. I was then introduced to the nurse who would be handling my piercings, Baillie, along with Zaira who helped us decide on what piercings to do. Let me tell you, these nurses were the most bubbly and knowledgeable piercers I’ve ever been to and made the entire experience completely painless. From picking out jewelry, to deciding on final placements (a conch and a second lobe for those who might be wondering), all the way through the actual piercings themselves, Baillie made me feel like the most special and prettiest girl in the whole world. Anyone who lives in the Scottsdale area should consider themselves lucky to have such a phenomenal piercer in Baillie at their disposal. I’ve decided from now on that any more piercings I get will be done exclusively by Baillie, and I don’t even live in Scottsdale! But she’s worth the travel, trust me. Each one of those girls deserves a raise for how wonderful they are at their jobs. Highly recommend Rowan and the entire team at the Scottsdale Quarter location (especially Baillie)! 10/10, five stars, best piercing experience of my entire life!!!!!!!!!
