Me and my sister went in to get hair cut, color, and eyebrows done. The hair stylist Kathy (i dont know if its spelled differently) was rude! She was not wanting to do our hair which would have been fine if she would have just said that and we would have gone elsewhere. Instead she told us she won't give us the color we wanted or the style she was very unprofessional and was not confident as a stylist. She tried to give us a quote I said the money amount was fine but she wasn't making me feel confident. So was extremely rude the proceed to increase the price everytime I said the new amount was still fine. I had saved a lot of money to get this done and be prepared for the amount. She made me and my sister feel like we were beneath her and broke, almost as if she didnt believe we were able to pay. She made it feel as though she just didnt want to do our hair and was finding every possible way to not do our hair. My sister was so upset by the way she was speaking to us that she cried and I was so mad to be talked down to like we are not people. She then proceeded to say how it was my fault that she was not comfortable because of me?! All I said was what we were looking for and that i was ok with the price even tho she just kept throwing higher numbers i was still ok with it!! But she blamed me?! Nonetheless we went to a professional salon and we were able to get the hair style we wanted with a cut and eyebrows done for both of us and I am so happy thanks to the other salon. I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone under any circumstances! If the stylists dont want to do hair they shouldn't book people. And definitely not ok to treat customers the way this lady did. The receptionist however was very sweet understanding and tried her best to help. This should be rated the worst salon in this area!! The one picture is my before when I showed up to this salon. The second picture is my after at the salon I ended up being able to get into after the horrible treatment here and it is exactly what I expected and asked for that this stylist here claimed she couldn't do even tho I was willing to pay whatever it took. Im happy the other salon was able to get us in and treated us so amazing. To this salon whoever reads this do better, treat others with respect or dont be in this field of work. I encourage anyone looking to get their hair done here PLEASE DONT! YOU WILL BE TREATED POORLY AND YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH YOUR HAIR!!

Last weekend my mom booked appointments for us to have our hair styled for her wedding. I showed a photo of the updo I wanted and the hair stylist, Simin, told me she would try to do it. The style included a front braid with curled bangs and a tight low bun at the base of the neck. After about 25 minutes of her struggling to do a braid and attempt to pin it, she went to the back to get a different type of pin. It looked so sloppy and you couldn't even tell it was a braid, so when she returned I told her let's just forget the updo and curl it. Simple enough, right? No. First of all, she admitted to me she didn't know how to use a curling iron, so she used a flat iron at the hottest temperature and didn't spray my hair with any type of heat protectant, so my hair was FRIED and smelled horrible for two days, even after I washed it twice. Second, it took over an hour for her to "curl" my hair and the whole time she was pulling my hair out since the flat iron was clamping my hair so hard. Everyone in my party was done with their hair at least 30 minutes before me and I was the second one to go back. Several times I saw other stylists walk by with concerned looks on their faces. One even asked "Simin, you don't want to use your curling iron to curl her hair?" To which she replied "Oh I don't know how to use it". I was SO frustrated and I think others could tell since everyone who walked by had a look of concern. I was almost to tears and at one point was about to just walk out, but she had my hair in such a rat's nest, I was afraid it would be unsalvageable for my mom's wedding if I tried to fix it at home. I didn't want to write this review, Simin was a very nice lady and I felt bad for her because she was obviously put in a position to fail since it was VERY apparent that her employers have not given her proper training and support. Simin needs to take a step back and should not be styling ANYONE's hair until she gets the training and support she DESPERATELY needs. I felt so horrible that my mom paid for this service because I did not feel pretty at all when I left and the whole reason I wanted an updo was because her wedding was outdoors and I wanted my hair off of my neck. My hair was a mess and had completely fallen flat by the end of the day, which is what I was afraid of and another reason I wanted an updo. I wish I had asked for a different stylist but I am a people-pleaser and had faith she could do SOMEthing, but unfortunately I was wrong. PLEASE train your stylists and DO BETTER. Simin told me she has been with JcPenney for 20+ years (10 of those years in the salon) and I know she loves her job, but she definitely needs further training before she is allowed back on the floor. You should not even offer hair styling if your staff doesn't even know how to use a curling iron. I have never left a salon in tears and feeling so unattractive.

I had a wonderful experience here. I'm a woman in my late twenties and my appointment was with Barb. Barb was so thoughtful of my hair texture and pattern and face shape and I feel my cut is so flattering.
I'm growing my hair out from a pixie and she dis a great job finding a style that suited me and helped me through this grow out stage.
She was kind and warm. None of the conversations felt forced and I didn't feel judged at all for some of more questionable past hair choices I was there to fix. She walked me through hair care and styling. I will be going back to her for as long as she's there!
