We’ve now visited three—possibly four—of their locations across the greater Phoenix metro area, and remarkably, there hasn’t been a single bad experience among them. In fact, the SanTan location stands out as our favorite of the group. Having lived in the Chicago area, we are unapologetically particular about Italian beef sandwiches—and Vero absolutely delivers. Their Italian beef is exactly how it should be: hot, sweet, and wet, with outstanding flavor and authenticity that rivals what we remember from Chicago itself. Beyond the food, Vero consistently impresses with friendly, attentive service, clean and well-maintained restaurants, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Every visit has felt comfortable and genuinely enjoyable. Here’s the funny part: despite the name, we still haven’t tried their pizza.
