I booked a private party for a group of us, girls, to celebrate Galentine’s Day and a birthday. Woodhouse Spa was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, even though we had some specific details. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and made sure we had the best relaxing time. Madison was particularly helpful, checking in on us throughout the entire event and making sure we were comfortable in our private room. We also received massages from Lexi, Kaitlyn, Dakota, and Marc, who provided exceptional services. Lindsey was also fantastic, helping me set up the appointment and guiding me through the reservations process. The facility itself is immaculately clean and luxurious, making it a great addition to Northwest Arkansas. I’ll definitely be returning when I’m in the area.

I had a pretty terrible experience here. I am 5 months postpartum. My husband booked this spa experience for me as something special. I chose the different treatments I wanted, he booked it, and I was really looking forward to the micro channeling. I waited for 3 weeks for this appointment. From the start, it was not great. First, the girl at the front desk told me she didn’t have time to give me a tour of the facility bc my appointment time was to close. I never received anything saying to arrive early but I’m like okay. Then she asks if I would like something to drink. I ask for a mimosa. I walk out of the bathroom and my massage therapist says I can’t bring the mimosa into the massage room (so I just have to take a sip and put it down) but she says they’ll get me another one after. (Spoiler alert: They don’t.) No one ever offers me a drink again. The massage therapist was nice and the massage was okay but I wish she would have asked how the pressure was bc it was very light. I don’t like light massage and in hindsight, I probably should have just gotten the deep tissue but this was supposed to be a little of everything. But still I am used to them asking if I want more pressure. This isn’t my first massage ever. I’ve gotten massages in NYC, Bali, the Bahamas, Hawaii, Amsterdam, Paris, Vegas , etc. I have never had a massage therapist not ask about the pressure. So, I was already a little bit annoyed with that but the girl was so nice, I just let it go. Then I go for the micro channeling, what I’m most excited for. And I get in there, undress and lay down on the table, and only then do they say, “oh you checked the box for retinol so we can’t do the micro channeling”. I’m like okay. Why wasn’t that communicated to me in advance that I needed to stop 24 hours before. I’ve never done micro-channeling before. How am I supposed to know to stop retinol before? So, then that treatment can’t be done. Next I booked the salt room but then I’m just sitting in there the whole time annoyed about the experience. They comped me the 30 dollar salt room (which was less than the tip my husband left the massage therapist and it was a wall of lights not a salt room, I’ve been in an actual salt room before and this was not it), offered me a sauna but of course now I’m just annoyed and want to go home so I refused. Honestly, I feel like they should have rebooked me for the micro channeling at their own expense since it was their mistake and they did not communicate I should not use retinol products the night before (which they admitted that they forgot to send the notification). It is difficult to get out of the house when you have a little baby and plan for things like this. I’m not sure who is running this place bc no manager (of course) came to talk to me because clearly customer service is dead, but I was booked for nearly 800 dollars worth of treatments and walked out of there more stressed than I went in (and I have a 5 month old baby so that’s really saying something) and wanted to cry. If you guys think you can stay in business charging the prices you do for the mediocre service I received, good luck. I regret so much even letting my husband book this. You want a great massage, go to hand and stone in Fayetteville/johnson area. I had a fantastic massage there for literally a fourth of the price. This place is mostly fluff with no substance. The building is nice but the staff are disorganized. The quiet room is small and over crowded and I don’t really know what the rest of it looks like bc I never got the tour but needless to say I will not be back and will be telling everyone I know about this experience and to stay away. I’m extremely disappointed to say the least.

What an experience! I had a 9 am for the infrared sauna followed by a massage. Staff were very welcoming! I was taken on a tour of the spa and given a super plush bathrobe and comfortable slippers to change into. After changing I entered the spa waiting room, staff had my selected drink waiting for me where plush seats and a comfortable atmosphere awaited. When it was my turn I was shown to the infrared room where I enjoyed 25 minutes of uninterrupted heat and sweat! This was followed by an Amazing deep tissue massage performed by Paislie. Paslie attacked all the stiff muscles and was very observant to areas that might be more tender. She really was fantastic and her years of experience showed. So, as I avoid going home and hide out in the spa waiting room once again, enjoying another beverage, I know I'm not leaving here without booking a return visit!!!

Disappointing experience with rescheduling. We booked a lovely 110-minute couples massage package for my husband and me, but I needed to reschedule with exactly 24 hours’ notice due to unforeseen circumstances. The spa hit us with a 50% charge for the full service amount without any prior warning—this wasn’t mentioned during booking, in any confirmation emails, or reminders. It felt unfair and sneaky, especially for a high-end spa service. I get that rescheduling affects their business, but clear communication about fees is basic customer service. So I was charged $265 for absolutely nothing.

I want to preface this review by saying Olivia, my esthetician at Woodhouse Spa, was absolutely wonderful and she gets 5 stars. I’m giving Woodhouse Spa itself 3 stars because of my experience with the front desk staff/whomever handles email responses. I had scheduled my very first microdermabrasion with them and received an email confirming my appointment and asking me to fill out the waiver *if I had not done so within the last 12 months. I had a hydrafacial done with them last summer but thought I should fill out the form again as some of my previous skin products had changed and I was on new medications. However, I was unable to click the link they provided. I emailed them telling them I was unable to click the link (2-3 days before my scheduled appt) and followed it up with a phone call (the day of my scheduled appt), as no one responded. When I spoke with whomever answered the phone, they told me they had a form on file for me and I didn’t need to fill it out again. I then asked if any of the medications I was on would interfere with getting microdermabrasion. I was told no. When I showed up for my appointment, Olivia asked if I had used a retinol or anything recently and I said yes, I use an OTC retinoid every day. She then had to go ask her manager if she could still complete the procedure and was told no and that I should have “been off any topical retinols for at least 48 hours” prior to my appointment. When I asked if there was an email or something they sent out telling us that information/how to prepare for the microdermabrasion, I was told “I think so” but that email, if it exists, never reached me or my email inbox/junk mail. Olivia gave me a couple of options and we ended up going with a regular facial, which was lovely and thorough. I’m thankful she was able to come up with a backup plan that worked for both of us. When I was done and went to pay for the service, I spoke with the girls at the front desk and asked them if there was an email sent out explaining how to prepare for services like the microdermabrasion and was totally dismissed. I don’t even think I got a response, more like a “this is common knowledge and you should have known” smirk. The only thing said to me was “how are you paying today?” and verification of my payment method. If I had known how to prepare for that specific service, I absolutely would have not used specific products and not wasted anyone’s time. All of that to say, I hope Woodhouse Spa can utilize some kind of “here’s what to expect/how to prep” email so clients know what they need to do before coming in for a service. I feel like that is a very small ask and can help streamline their business and leave no room for confusion on behalf of their clients.
