- GMGeorgetta McguireApr 3, 20261.0I visited Great Clips for a bob haircut and style and was quoted a price upon arrival, which I felt was fair. However, after waiting, I encountered an unprofessional experience. One stylist stated she prefers to cut men’s hair, saying she is better equipped for that, and another stylist mentioned that bob cuts are difficult for her as well. Yolanda, the only Black stylist in the salon, was then asked to cut my daughter’s hair because she had done a similar style earlier. While I understand that different hair textures can require different techniques, my daughter’s hair is straight, so this situation was confusing and uncomfortable. After the service was completed, I was charged a different price than what I was originally quoted. When I spoke with the manager, Katie, she confirmed the higher price based on a list behind the counter, rather than honoring the original quoted amount. This experience was disappointing. Stylists are trained to work with a variety of hair types and styles, and customers should feel confident in that expertise. Additionally, clear and consistent pricing should be communicated and honored. I would encourage Great Clips to do better in both customer service and professionalism. Katie, as a manager, could also benefit from additional training in customer service and communication.

- TWTyler WilsonDec 7, 20251.0I asked for a very simple hair cut for the back of my hair to match the sides and for her to not mess with my sides or top she proceeded to trim my top and sides until my scalp was visible and left me with hair just on the top. This was not only not what I asked for but the hair cut was so bad I shaved my head afterwards. I wouldn’t trust anyone here to cut paper let alone touch my hair ever again.

If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
