  4/10/2026 2:00 pm. I am usually very pleased with the Troy salon, this trip however, the young lady who cut my hair was extremely distracted. She spent the entire time telling me she was not supposed to to be working today and watching the parking lot for someone.. After running the clipper guard into my scalp hard she apologized and proceeded to give me the worst haircut experience I have had. I started going to this shop because I am in Troy 2 days a week from Pensacola. I will have to find another place if that’s what I can expect.

  Jackie did a very good job. Also, the guy who cuts there does good work and keeps good music on in the store making the experience even better.

  I am picky about haircuts, so I was apprehensive to get one while I was away from home and in Troy. I am SO impressed with the great job Daniel did. Thank you, Daniel!

  I had an extremely disappointing experience at Great Clips. The haircut I received was noticeably uneven and lacked any professional precision. I had hoped for a simple, clean cut, but what I got was sloppy and not up to standard. I left feeling very dissatisfied with the entire visit. Although I regularly go there, I’ve had haircuts at Great Clips before, and typically I’ve had no major issues. However, this was the first time I was thoroughly dissatisfied. The lack of care and the uneven result really stood out.

  I had a very frustrating experience at Great Clips today. To be fair, I understand that places like Great Clips are not necessarily known for “wow” customer service, but customers should still be able to expect reasonable and fair service. I checked in online and carefully monitored the waiting time through the website. Initially it showed around 35 minutes. I noticed the time fluctuating (34 minutes, then up to 42 minutes) even though the list looked the same. I also saw that one person had booked four people at once. After waiting a while, I received a text message saying my appointment was ready and that I should arrive within 15 minutes. The website even showed the waiting time as zero, so I immediately drove over and arrived well within the 15-minute window. The message did say I might have to wait a little, which I completely understand. Staff may still be finishing up with other customers. However, what happened next was not a short wait — I ended up waiting about 40 minutes after arriving. During that time, I saw people who were late for their appointments being served before me, even though I had arrived on time after receiving the notification text. That was extremely frustrating. There was also a young boy waiting on the other side who had clearly been there for a long time. At first I thought he might be related to the staff, but later realized he was also a customer. I genuinely felt sorry for him, watching other people come in and get their haircuts while he kept waiting. What made the experience worse was that there was no apology or explanation from the staff. I hope management will reflect on situations like this and improve how the check-in and scheduling system is handled. If customers are told they will be served within 15 minutes, the business should make a real effort to honor that promise. Waiting a few minutes is understandable, but 40 minutes after being told your turn is ready is not reasonable. Everyone values their time. If the roles were reversed, would you feel okay waiting 40 minutes after being told your appointment was ready? I hope this feedback helps prevent other customers from having the same experience.
