  Drove from Montgomery to get a quick wash and cut. Lady named Jackie did not want to wash my hair, stated they did not do wash and cuts she could only “spray my hair with water”. What type of hair salon will not wash your hair? Great Clips in Montgomery washes and conditions my hair EVERY TIME so I know it isn’t the business policy. Never again. I can see why there was ZERO wait time and ZERO customers.

  I told the stylist I would like curtain bangs that started at my eyebrow and layered down. I also told her that my hair length was really important to me and the lady that cut my hair even took a photo of my hair before she cut it because of how long it was and kept giving me compliments about the length. She then proceeded to blunt cut bangs straight across my eyebrows like Dora the Explorer, and then proceeded to tell me, after I started crying and told her that is not at all what I wanted, that I had the wrong hair texture for curtain bangs. And I told her she made me look like I had a bowl cut and she scoffed at me told me she's been cutting hair for 12 years and that I was wrong and then proceeded to take what look like thinning shears to the right side of my hair and just start chopping trying to fix what she had already cut off. ( This led to it being uneven and cut accross further back to my ear. ) She called her boss over there, which was looking like a older lady, and her boss proceeded to tell me that I was in the wrong and the hairdresser knew what she was doing and that it was exactly what I asked for, I showed her the picture I had which was a style close to Sabrina Carpenter's curtain bangs and she said it was the same thing. Both ladies continue to tell me that I am in the wrong and that it's my fault for not having the right hair texture. I have the basic straight hair?? What I don't understand is if nobody did anything wrong why did they only make me pay $10. I shouldn't have had to pay for that. I sat in that lady's chair crying and all they could do was tell me it was my fault. This place is so unprofessional and has ruined any ounce of confidence i had. My hair was at my waist and down resides right at my shoulder blades.. I asked her not to cut it shorter than my belly button (around mid-back). I had to go to a separate salon and get what could be fixed fixed which cost me $70. She had even cut the bangs uneven one side was longer than the other, the ponytail was chopped up and looked like a drop off. I can no longer do anything with my hair anymore. A high ponytail leads to bangs being out in the front with the left side longer than the right which is very noticeable because there's no way you can even it out when there's no hair there to even, it also sticks straight up from the ponytail bass because what seemed to be layers she was cutting she blunt cut them so hard. I can't do a slick back bun to hide the bangs because when I try to put my hair up in a bun all the hair sticks out like a porcupine because of how uneven it is. I'm 16, I have work, school, and sports I have to attend and now everywhere I go all I can think about is what people are thinking in their head about how I look. Thank you great clips, for the next 5 months I have to paste my hair back and hope the hairspray hides what you've done. ❤️

  [UPDATE] Customer service reached out to me and told me that they had fired the stylist I'd interacted with. In light of that, I'll update my review to reflect all other factors of my experience, which was one of friendly and professional service. [ORIGINAL REVIEW] The cut was fine, but the man who cut my hair spent the entire time calling me "indoctrinated" and explaining how I "worship false idols," after I made a passing mention of volunteer work I do at my home church. I respect people's opinions, but the beginning conversation grew into an intense lecture about how I was likely the "offspring of the serpent." It's not even that I'm offended; I just didn't come into a hair salon to chat religion. I wanted a haircut.

  I brought my 6 year old son yesterday evening to get a haircut, because his usual place was closed. I ended up meeting the 2 nicest workers, Ms. Jackie and Yosaiah/Josiah (I'm sorry if I spelled it wrong) They were AMAZING with my kid and we had great conversation! Y/J cut my son's hair exactly like the reference picture we showed him, and they both made my son feel super special. I can't truly describe how great this whole experience was nor can I truly give them enough credit. If you need a haircut, make sure to ask for one of them cause they will get you all the way right. Thank you both so much!
