    Staying at the Hyatt at the Riverchase Galleria. I needed a haircut and heard that JC Penny had a salon. (Tucked way in the back) Dropped in for a men’s haircut and it was both great and reasonably priced. Tamica was both exceptionally skilled and lovely to talk with. Value for the quality was exceptional. Five stars, would definitely go back the next time I am in town!

    Been looking for hair stylist since moving to Birmingham for school. Finally decided I couldn’t really go wrong here but since they offered the services on natural hair to give it a try. Worst mistake ever. Not only was my hair unevenly “trimmed”/cut, but the “silk press” experience was not what I expected from any master stylist. My feelings were so hurt I immediately called my mom to express my disappointment. She had no words. Total disaster. Perhaps natural hair services should not be performed here if the products used and stylist are not equipped to do them. On top of that the lady said she didn’t even have an appointment at the time I was scheduled. I did make the appointment online however this is a disgrace.

    Hello, I was a frequent customer at the JCP salon from 2019-2021. Unfortunately I received a relaxer where the stylist did not "base" my hair around my hair line. THIS RESULTED in permanent scaring on my face near the hairline (forcing me to part my hair on the opposite side) scar still there.The stylist wanted to use her preferred relaxer instead of the one, Mazani I used many times with no problem I was based everytime. I would like to here from someone concerning this. Thank you
