  I had an amazing experience with Samantha, and I can confidently say she’s one of the best hairstylists I’ve ever gone to. She’s not just a stylist—she’s a true master at what she does. Samantha is warm, patient, and genuinely passionate about her craft. She creates a relaxed atmosphere, and you can tell she truly cares about her clients. Whether it’s a haircut, color, or a full transformation, you can trust her completely. I walked out feeling refreshed, confident, and so happy with my hair. Highly recommended—Samantha is truly a master hairstylist! 💇‍♀️✨

  I hadn’t gotten a trim or hair cut in over a three years, on top of that I had never had a deep conditioning done to my hair. Samantha was able to do all of these things, including a braid, and not only was she funny, beautiful, and gentle with my hair , she was also extremely knowledgeable and told me everything she was doing as she was doing it. I was fearful about any extra length to come off and she told me how much damaged and dead hair needed to be cut but that she was willing not to cut a lot. I ended up telling her to cut it all off, taking 4” off my DEAD hair. It was the right choice. But the fact she was willing to listen and give me an option, without pressuring me was wonderful. I took her advice and my hair feels extremely healthy and from this day on, I will be seeing her once a month to get my curly-girl hair care done by Samantha. She will be aiding me in my journey to get my curl pattern back after frying it for so many years. Thank you Samantha for the advice, care, time and love you put into your work. I feel like a new woman and I cannot wait until next time!

  I was a last minute walk in. I came in to cut my hair short about shoulder length. The first thing she did was shampoo my hair and she was a little rough. After that, she cut my hair to the style I wanted but it turned out to be shorter then what I asked for.. I asked her to clean up my curtain bangs instead she gave me uneven bangs. Also, she combed out my hair so uneven and then started to cut freely without any guidance. Lastly, she blowed dried my hair and then asked if I wanted it straighten out. I said yes. She burnt my right ear. She also spent more time cutting my right side which turned out to be super choppy and uneven. I still tipped her because at first glance it looked okay and she was an elderly and she was nice to me. I went home and saw how bad it really was so I cut a little bit to make it even. But I'm still not happy I spent $65 just so I can fix it myself. Honestly, this was the worst hair experience I had. I don't recommend this place or at least being a last minute walk in. Since the mall closed at 9pm I assumed the salon would close the same time. It actually closed 3 hours earlier.

  Update: This evening after going to church at the cathedral, I tried one last time to buy a Paul Mitchell haircare product (Wax Works) that I have been purchasing here for many years. Again, ALL of the shelves were half empty and the salon's retail section looked out of business. I got borderline snark from the girl "working" the counter- yet she was goofy friendly with my husband. I'm done trying with this place. Selection and availability with haircare supplies has been very low for approx. a year and a half now. The shelves have been empty my last 3 visits including today. I would love to shop online for JC Penney salon products but having tried that once and the item taking 4 to 6 weeks to arrive, I am no longer interested. I am now forced to go to Ulta Beauty, but they do not carry everything that the JC Penney Salon did. I miss the sales with the buy one get one half off, etc., at the salon. If JC Penney wishes for more customer traffic downtown, then pump up the volume! When I asked last evening about the short supply, I was told "We don't order. It just automatically comes in." ???
