I went in for a return at this location and I had a misunderstanding about the extended holiday return policy. Anyways, one of the girls (who wasnt the one actually helping me) says "girl just read this" and places the return policy card on the counter with attitude. I Looked at her and brushed it off because i didnt wanna make a scene. do not speak to me that way. I wasnt being rude and she had the audacity to have attitude. I shouldve got her name but ill describe her. she was working at 215 ish PM at the mayfield location on january 3rd, she had tan skin and her hair was in a bun and she was working at one of the tills. Super rude. Focus on the customer you're helping. The 2 women with hijab were great though.

I'm a delivery driver. I came to pick up an order from Sephora, and every time I go to Sephora, I get help finding products because I can't find them myself. At West Edmonton Mall, the staff are always helpful and kind. This was my first time here, but the experience was bad. I asked someone for help, and she told me to find them myself. I tried to find the product but couldn't, so I had to cancel the order and leave the store. I wish we could get help finding products since we don't understand how to do it.

I had the worst experience at this Sephora, for a place that is supposed to help people feel more beautiful and confident they really know how to break a women’s self esteem down. I was looking at some body spray as a Christmas gift for someone when a lady that was asking if we need help we said no we are good thank you then ask to see my face and then proceeds to tell me how dry my skin was and how irritated it looks if she can help me find something to help it I said no I’m ok thanks I know it’s dry I already am aware, wouldn’t stop saying to me that I need to fix it and she has stuff there that can help I said I am not shopping for myself thanks but no please go away we don’t need help. Finally she walks off and I was saying to my friend how rude that was she comes back over and asks if she said something wrong we both just told her yes that was very rude really bad customer service, and unsolicited advice no one asked for. Me being already self conscious of my skin rosacea, dryness being pregnant having hormonal acne my skin is my biggest insecurity right now. Anyways I left in tears embarrassed and her following us out to the door offering free samples which I said no to and she proceeded to put them in my hand.

Avoid this store at all costs. I visited this store today and experienced extremely poor customer service. A security guard and a staff member repeatedly followed my family and me around the store, which made us very uncomfortable. This felt like racial profiling, as other customers were not being followed. The store was not busy at the time, so this difference in treatment was very noticeable. Additionally, a staff member offered to show me a new product. I politely explained that I have sensitive skin and do not try new products. She then asked how long I had been using my skincare routine, and when I told her it had been over two years, she rudely responded, “And still your skin looks horrible.” This comment was completely insensitive and unprofessional. Staff should be mindful of what customers may be going through and speak to customers with respect at all times.

If you are a person of color, you will be followed by the security or the sales(they will rotate and take turns), I have never experienced this much explicit racial discrimination in my 15 years of life in Canada. The lady was very rude, looks like she was trying intimidated sales techniques, she will talk you down, make you feel small and very insecure about your appearance.. please go to some other Sephora store and avoid yourself some trauma..
