I don't know who's running this location. But they need to be spoken to the customer service is horrible at this location. The girls are also very clueless.Even though there's a machine about skin matches. I asked someone to apply foundation a full face to see if I like it
And I don't have a reaction to it.I was told I have to book a service though I wasn't needing a full face of makeup or any other product.I just wanted to see what it would look like. And feel like I was told I would have to pay ridiculous, I just blew three hundred and mac.

I like shopping with my daughter and my daughter loves this place. I like it too - clean, bright and helpful staff everywhere. She has these specific products she NEEDS NEEDS NEEDS and she gets them here. As a guy, I didn't realize how expensive some of the stuff ladies need is, but she reassures me this stuff is higher quality and has ingredients that don't cause issues with her skin. Then again, I'm a guy who uses two-in-one shampoo and bar soap. So there's that... :-)

I shop regularly in this location, the senior BAs here are great, I want to start off with the positive and say Chelsea was amazing with customer recovery and as a ROUGE member, the assistance and service she delivered is what I expect (and really what all customers regardless of membership tier should receive).
Now onto the bad, Cherry who was in the cashier area was absolutely horrible. She was so unbelievably rude to my mom, it's crazy because we were trying to redeem my $100 ROUGE REWARD and instead of trying to help us or even attempting to understand the situation, she just yelled and embarassed us. Just so so rude, I usually don't do this but I ended up calling the store afterwards because I couldn't believe it. ALL customers should be treated with respect but wow, you'd think they would treat a ROUGE member with a little bit more understanding (especially since it ended up being their system's fault anyway). I can't believe Sephora Southgate would treat ROUGE members like this, I expected so much better especially since this location is one of the bigger locations in Edmonton.
Now, in the past, I have redeemed a few $100 rouge rewards at this location and I know there was a recent change in the system where they can just click to redeem the reward (kind of like how it shows on your cart on the app) instead of scanning a barcode. This detail is important because I NEVER received a barcode and like I said I've redeemed here before, and never had to show a barcode after that system change. Once it was our turn, we gave my information and Cherry I would presume (if she was actually paying attention) knows that the account is a Rouge account because obviously we're trying to redeem the reward. She kept insisting we need a barcode/number but we kept trying to explain that you can just activate it on the register like how they've done it for me in the past. Instead of calling a senior or trying to help us out, she was arguing that we were wrong and yelled at my mom "this account only has 72 points!"-- of course it would be low in points, I've redeemed it for the reward. I'm not sure if this is her first day, if she was getting it confused with USING the points but I would think she knows it's for the rouge reward since we told her and she was asking for the barcode/number. Anyway, she was just so unbelievably rude that we left since we couldn't redeem the reward and she was just being insane and embarassing us in the counter, if she didn't know what to do or was confused she should have asked for a senior's help instead of embarassing us.
I promptly called the store afterwards, I asked first with how the rouge reward can be redeemed and Chelsea confirmed how I thought it worked but also noted that sometimes the system will still ask for a code. Anyway, she checked my account and she said it IS asking for a code, again I never got any-- I haven't been getting one when I redeemed because of the system change. She gave me the number to Client Services and told me to call. On there, the person explained the same thing (I'm right that you don't need a barcode (they can just activate it in the register just like you do on the app), this is the new system BUT it can glitch and sometimes it will still ask for one).
DURING the client services call, Sephora Southgate number was calling back. Chelsea told me she checked again and it works now (no need for a code, can just activate like what I said), she has a goodie bag for me for the inconvenience and she apologized for what happened which out of everything, I appreciate the most. My mom came back and was immediately assisted, she skipped the line and got the palette. Cherry couldn't even look at her in the eye, didn't even apologize. No matter who's fault it is (the system, the register, etc.), how Cherry treated us is not justified and is unacceptable. ESPECIALLY AS A ROUGE MEMBER.
