My experience at this sephora is the best I’ve had across calgary. The lady who helped me I didn’t get a chance for her name was the lady with the hijab in the perfume section. She was not only nice she was extremely educated on what I was looking for. I was not quite sure what I wanted but wanted something with vanilla tones in it she showed me many perfumes and explained each one to me with the perfume notes that I seemed to like. Not once did I feel pushed to get one or rushed in the process. I ended up getting one I really loved thanks to her suggestions and her helpfulness for helping me find something I was looking for. Highly recommend!

I went to Sephora - Chinook mall for some samples and Tristan was the one who offered to help. Tristan was very sweet, warm and approachable. I needed some help with contour placement & blending and Tristan explained everything well and made my experience worthwhile. Thank you Tristan - you are the best! XOXO

I went in Yesterday, Jan 1st, and asked if they had any of the mini hoola bronzers. The guy proceeded to take me to the check out line, did a brief look over and said no. He did not check his device, nor did he check the actual benefit section. I went back today, and they had one in the benefit section.
Today, I got my bronzer and two other products. I went to the checkout, and I had a CF Giftcard. I asked the girl if I could use it, she said yes. I then scanned it through the thing, it was accepted, and then I had a remaining balance of $40 to pay. I then asked if I could use my points towards it. The girl was like “oh you would’ve had to done it before”, and I asked if we could still do it. She voided the transaction, added the points towards my purchase, and I went to use the gift card again. It then declined, and declined multiple more times. She then told me I could go ask the Chinook help center about it. It was a gift, I didn’t purchase it, nor did I have a receipt for it. She then asked another woman to come over, and she said the money could go back to the gift card instantly or within 2 hours. I asked if she could put it on hold and she was like “oh we don’t normally do holds”. I I think she could tell I started to get agitated and asked how long of a hold, I said an hour max. So I have to go wander around, because your employee A. Didn’t ask me at the start if I wanted to use my points B. Didn’t know what she was doing, and was telling me to go deal with Chinook help center, when it’s HER problem. C. If she knew the transaction might not work or take two hours until it could work again, she should’ve said something before voiding the transaction. What a JOKE! Teach your employees to communicate better, and to understand their own systems. I didn’t have two hours to waste, I have a life. I walked around for 10 minutes and tried again, didn’t work. I now have to go back a different day because their employees don’t understand their systems and have poor customer service.
If it wasn’t for the giftcard, that I had to use it at Chinook, I would honestly boycott this location.

1 January 2026 - i was in the store today, looking for some colour for my cheeks..... I was told by the greeter at the front that I would be in good hands with the girl who came forward to assist..... she obv had no clue what I was looking for - I kept explaining what I was looking for - she kept taking me to liquid make up - no I said, I am looking for colour - blush type products - finally - my daughter who was with me was getting to frustrated with the sales person, she had to leave the store...... finally the sales person took me to the Dior stand... i found two colours I wanted, showed her, told her, now I am home and she has put one wrong colour in ..... I am so mad and frustrated, she barely spoke, looked poker faced, obviously did not have a clue what she was doing... shame on you Sephora for not ensuring your staff understand your products.... now it's a second trip to one of your stores to return the incorrect colour, and try and find the one I originally wanted...... never will i recommend your store.... so many staff walking around that store, doing nothing...... gives a very bad vibe to serious shoppers.......If there was a 0 star, that is what you would have received on this review..... Disgusting Customer "service"..........
