    Horrible customer service. I loved the Mac powder foundation but they recently revamped the line and changed the formula including the colours. I went in a few days before Black Friday and had an associate colour match me with the new line. I also got the item on sale which was great. Unfortunately when I went to use the new product, the colour match was not right. I tried to exchange the product for the same item just a different shade and was told no, I’d have to pay the extra since it’s not Black Friday any more. No where on my receipt does it say this. It says exchange only. To me this IS an exchange. I was refused. How does this make sense? I trusted them to help me find a colour match and they didn’t and now I’m being penalized for that. I would understand if I wanted a different product altogether, but no. I just want a colour that matches my skin in the same product. The sad thing is my friend and I were going to spend an additional $300 after the exchange. We decided to go buy mac products at Sephora instead.

    I called about the advent calendar and went to pick it up. When I brought it home, the first day she opened it there was fingerprints all over it. The swivel thing was all messed up and some of the boxes were open! I don't know why there would be fingerprints on it and why the boxes would be open. All I know if im paying that much money for something you'd think the employees would not be tampering with it. Don't know yet if there is anything missing but I do know that some boxes were open and even the items taken out. I've seen her take some of the things out the box and the wrap is nice and tight. The one she told me to look at the wrap was all loose and the box was clearly open before hand. Not something you'd expect from a major franchise like this! I've been buying them for years and never had a problem until this year. Also to note, i was told that it was their last one, so maybe it was the one the employees were looking at. I can't say for certain but something was going on with this one. Pretty sad

    So there’s no 0-star option, but I’ll keep this short. I purchased a Dazzleshadow Extreme in Incinerated but was mistakenly given Illuminaughty. I used my rewards points to get $10 off ($35 down to $25). When I went to return it a few days later, I was immediately dismissed by a white, blonde associate who claimed she “couldn’t process my return” because I’d used points. I reviewed the return policy—nowhere does it state this. What made it worse was her condescending, visibly annoyed tone. I followed up with customer service, who confirmed I was in the right and that a return was no problem. My sister later brought the product back, and it was processed without issue. So the policy wasn’t the problem—the employee was. If your staff can’t be bothered to understand the basics of your own return policy, then maybe some proper training is overdue. Do better.

    My daughter and I went into the Mac store today and Kaitlyn(short red hair) was the most rudest and horrible person to us. I have never been mistreated so badly in a store ever. I work in cosmetics retail as well and this is absolutely no way to treat or talk to a client. I was in absolute shock of how rude and how much attitude was given to us even though we spoke to her so nicely. She has no manners or any good customer service. Will never be going back here. I’d rather drive an extra hour to go to another location. She completely ruined our entire day. There was an other employee with long black curly hair and she was giving my daughter such horrible looks while whispering to kaitlyn. They made us feel as if we were lower then them and had absolutely no respect whatsoever to my daughter and I. I don’t ever recommend going here unless you want to be mistreated. Mac is beauty brand for all type of people and all races. They destroyed their reputation along with Macs. I hope she learns to be nicer to people so nobody else has to deal with these rude girls.
