- KGKerri GistJan 2, 20261.0This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The whole month of December I was passenger in a semi truck with a friend. I was dropped off in Newcastle Wyoming while the truck went to unload on a farm nearby. I walked into the Maverick to use the restroom, made a purchase of a drink and some crackers, spoke to the cashier and then I went and stood at the front windows by the ledge where all the tourist information and maps are with my drink and my crackers. It was very cold and very windy and I was waiting for my friend to pick me back up. The cashier came and told me that I could not wait inside any longer that I had been there for 45 minutes and they have a 45 minute rule and she told me she knew I had already been there 45 minutes because her shift started 45 minutes ago. She then made me go outside where it was 3° and already dark to wait for my ride and she did not care if I froze to death or if I got kidnapped or what happened to me. I walked back up the street towards the refinery and waited in the dark in the cold for the semi to return. I don't recommend stopping in Newcastle Wyoming.
