So I dropped my truck off to get interlock installed On a Friday morning. The girl that was at the front desk told me it would take an hour or 2. While about 5 hours later after receiving no phone call I called in and they told me that 2 people had called in sick and they had no idea when they would have my interlock installed But that it would be installed that day. Well by the end of that day I didn't hear back from the company that installed it and they ended up locking my truck in the garage for the weekend which I needed my truck.. Come Monday morning they in they called me and told me that they had had a problem with the 1st device and so they installed a second device and my truck was ready for pick up but because I made it back into town too late it was locked in their shop again Well here we are on a Tuesday evening and my truck has been paid for and I went to pick it up and now the device doesn't work At all. So this is just the beginning of my review I will have to have a follow up review once I actually get this problem figured out but I am off to a very bad start with intoxalock and their "install team."

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.
