- SSSarFeb 25, 20261.0Been here multiple times and each time I’m treated terribly and disappointed. First time I went in recently, I went in to get a code read. Once read, I mentioned to the employee I had a feeling it would be what it was. The employee then proceeded to treat me like I was an idiot as I explained my vehicle does not have a gas cap. He proceeded to repeatedly ask me if I knew what a gas cap was to which I explained my model of vehicle does not have one but rather a flap. He then proceeded to attempt to physically show me where my “gas cap” was located at which point he then realized I was correct. Treated poorly from start to finish. The most recent time I went in on a Wednesday morning right after they opened to get a headlight bulb. He spouted the numbers at me repeatedly at which point I asked if he could at the very least direct me to where it was. He was clearly unwilling to direct me and then proceeded to yell towards another employee who was in the headlight aisle to show me where it was instead of just having him quickly locate it. I then asked if they would assist me in changing it and immediately was told no and that they would not change it. I’ve had multiple headlights changed before at Advance no questions asked. I will definitely not be returning to this location as each time the service has been progressively worse and more disrespectful.

This interaction was caught on camera while he was in his store uniform. The store was notified, and confirmed he works at this location. He decided he was justified because he parked his white truck over parking lines in didn't have access to his passenger door. He was able to get in his driver side door without issue, but still decided to harass me, and hit my car with his body.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
