The store manager Chris is very polite and friendly and treats me with the upmost respect. He really cares about his store, his products, and his customers. Chris takes his time and makes sure everything is meeting my needs no matter the purchase. His staff are all the same as well. Ripley advanced is awesome and will forever have my business. Glad they have the right staff that are more than qualified!

That's when he noticed my serpentine belt broke. I didn't have any tools on me, so of course they had loaner tools to use, much appreciated. Me and my dad started working on it; James helped in between customers, and then Cody came out and just jumped right in and got his hands dirty. Him and my dad ended up getting it swapped out in no time. I just want to say a big thanks to James and Cody, and I hope the right people see this review. Thank you guys very much.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
