This is not about the store, but, about a wonderful blessing of an employee, her name is Mackensee, i am sorry i didnt get her last name. i think it must have been Angel, because that what she was to me. She works at this store, but was not working at this time, i believe she came in to return a core for a part she purchased. I needed a water pump for my old dodge, i had to change it out at the store as i was 60 miles from home. they had all the parts i needed, but not all the tools. i am 65 years old and disabled, but, Mackensee did not know i was disabled, or my age.
Mackensee was standing behind me when i was ordering the parts and the tools, and heard me tell the employee at the counter that i had to change this in the parking lot, because, i was lucky i made it here, as it was totally shot and leaking. When i finished my purchase, i couldnt carry everything in one trip, so i said i would be back in to get the rest of the stuff, but, Mackensee picked them up instead and proceeded to help me carry it out. As we were walking away Mackensee asked me if i would like her to help with changing the water pump, at first i thanked her for offering to help, but, that i could do it. As she opened and held the door for me, she again asked if i was sure i didnt want her to help. I told her how much i appreciate the offer, but i didnt want to see a pretty young lady, like her get all greasy and dirty and mess her clothes up. As we neared the truck, she told me she didnt care about getting greasy and dirty, that she would really like to help me,. And she told me she was studying auto mechanics in school, and that was the career she was choosing to persue. So after hearing this, and because of her willingness to help, i accepted her help. And i am very thankful and grateful that i did. So, shes is not only a pretty young lady, as i have said, she is also very talented and very knowledgeable, and very capable. I found out she rebuilt the engine in her old blazer, recently, and truly loves working on cars. But , more importantly, she truly loves to help someone in need. It turns out that i would not have been able to change that water pump if i didnt accept her help, because the one tool that autozone didnt have, was the one i needed most. But, Mackensee went to her car, and got some tools, that we were able to combine and make the tool we needed. Her parents can be very proud of her, and she should be very proud of who she is, and her family and friends are very blessed to have her in their lives. Mackensee (Angel), truly is a blessing from GOD. Whom I will never forget. Thank You for your Love, and Help. With young people like her, this world still has much Hope. Always Blessed, John U. Grant Jr.
