Camping World Fairmont, West Virginia, gets 5 stars ⭐️ after spending months literally contacting every RV dealership. I ended up getting the perfect motor home and my best deal at Fairmont. From trading in my old camper to pulling off the lot in my next RV, Allison, the general manager, made sure I understood and explained every step of the process. Also whether it was Kevin, Jordan, or Trevor they all work together like a family to make sure all your questions and concerns are answered and taken care of. Don’t make any decisions until you have talked to Fairmont Camping World in West Virginia all RV dealerships what you’re business and will promise you the farm. Fairmont Camping World wants you to be part of their family and feel good about purchasing your first or next camper. New or pre-owned it to will look good in your driveway like mine.

It was a super easy purchase right from the beginning. This is our first camper, so obviously first time going through this type of purchase. Jeremy Manos, my salesman was knowledgeable and was non-pressure and answered all the questions I had. The gentleman that did my walk through was great and explained everything there was and I asked for an opinion and he was straightforward and professional with communicating his answer. I am also taking his advice. I will be happy to bring the camper back to this location for inspection and needed work.

Very pleasant people to deal with. Enjoyed my visit there. Going to purchase our first trailer from them. No regrets!

I wish I could give them zero stars. They have had our camper for MONTHS. No one calls you back. No one knows what's going on. The turnover is so high you will talk to one person who you think will help you, and then call back two weeks later and they are already gone.
They will perform UNAUTHORIZED work on your camper, without your knowledge and then expect you to pay for it.
We simply wanted our awning FABRIC replaced. They gave us a quote of $1800. Months later, it's now over $6000 because they decided the mechanical parts needed replaced.
No one called us to let us know. No one asked us to authorize the additional work.
Now they are holding our camper hostage for work we didn't authorize.

I am posting this review to document a pattern of unprofessional conduct, shifting terms, and serious safety failures, not a single incident.
My experience began with an online listing for an RV advertised at $6,499. Once engaged, pricing escalated significantly through fees and add-ons, at one point approaching $12,000. The prep plan was originally included, then later removed, and that removal was subsequently used as justification to deny me a walk-through inspection, despite the prep plan not being declined by me.
Communication was inconsistent throughout. I dealt with multiple representatives, received contradictory explanations, and was eventually contacted through a generic phone system by someone identifying as the General Manager, who stated the RV was “AS IS” and required a cashier’s check, without acknowledging prior discussions or that I was purchasing from out of state.
On Friday, December 5, 2025, I was kept at the dealership from approximately 10:30 AM until after 4:30 PM. At approximately 4:17–4:30 PM, a hole in my tire was known to staff. Despite being a Platinum Elite Good Sam member, I was not assisted on-site. Instead, as the store was closing, I was pushed off the lot and directed to Tygart Lake State Park, because other nearby RV parks were not accessible. I requested the tire be addressed on the lot and was told to “go to the mall” or handle it elsewhere.
This occurred after payment, late on a Friday, while I was exhausted, unfamiliar with towing an RV, and facing deteriorating winter weather. Upon arrival, Tygart Lake State Park was closed, and I was only able to remain safely because a Park Ranger intervened.
Earlier that same day, Camping World had installed a hitch on my vehicle. Immediately following that installation, my car began experiencing electrical failure — difficulty shutting off, repeated jump-starts, and ultimately becoming inoperable. After two hours on the phone with Good Sam Roadside Assistance, the vehicle had to be towed.
When the vehicle was towed back to Camping World Fairmont — the location that performed the hitch installation — delivery was declined, and I was told to contact my insurance, despite the failure occurring directly after their work.
As of December 15, 2025, this situation remains unresolved, and I am still dealing with the consequences during active winter storm conditions, with temperatures reaching 4°F.
This review is posted for consumer awareness. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.
