I reserved Friday evening around 5:30ish, received an email back with confirmation my truck of equal size or larger would be available. I didn’t need the truck until Sunday so that’s well over the 24 hour that they require for a “guarantee”. Email states they guarantee, however no truck was left at the Home Depot pick up location. I received no phone calls or emails that they couldn’t complete my reservation. I live in NC and drove into Charleston WV (4 + hours) to pick up this truck to bring in some much needed items. I’ve had my time wasted from this company and they honestly don’t care! I woke up this morning and they actually charged me $100 because I “cancelled” my reservation! I didn’t Cancel, Penske did! They didn’t deliver the truck and caused so much inconvenience! Please Do Not do business with this company. U-Haul will price match Penske and Budget. I contacted customer support to find out why I was charged and wouldn’t you know, it “slipped through the cracks.” This company is a joke, they are liars, and wouldn’t compensate for my extra fuel I had to use because of their mess up. They are refunding the $100 they stole but it could take a couple days! How can they guarantee something but fail at it and have no consequences!? Liars…that is what this company is! Why send me an email saying that I cancelled!? I DIDN’T, you failed and had NO truck!
