- AHAbby Holderby4 days ago1.0would put 0 stars if I could!!! extremely rude and unprofessional! my boyfriend called a few days ago about his warranty on his brakes, the person he talked to said they would replace them if he brought them in. he called back today, and was put on the phone with the almighty general manager who believes he is God himself lol. and the general manager told him they will only follow the warranty if they’re defective(I’m not arguing policy, I’m sure that is their policy), but when my boyfriend tried to explain further that someone told him something else, he was cut off and said “well you’re talking to the general manager now so, unless you wanna go over me to corporate” RUDEEEEE!! My boyfriend tried to explain again what someone else had told him, only to be cut off AGAIN, and told “no he didn’t tell you that” and basically accused him of lying. super unprofessional. and he honestly does need a call to corporate. glad the Charleston location was super helpful, and professional. we will be taking our business there from now on❤️

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
