- JSJohn SowderJul 4, 20252.0I had a confirmed reservation for today, I arrived at the counter and it is closed for 4th of July. Their website says they are open, and the website accepted the request to rent a car. Very frustrating that our family is stranded with no way to figure out alternate transportation since it is a holiday in a small town and all other car rental agencies are closed. I've contacted the corporate customer service to figure out a way forward and they said to wait for a call back. Edit: customer service offered me a rental at an alternate location over an hour away with no way to get to that location. They told me to call that location and they could organize/pay for transportation to get there since this town is so small it doesn't have reliable Uber/taxi.service. I tried calling and they did not answer so I'm not going to pay for a taxi to drive an hour to be in the same situation. For my trouble they are offering $100 off my current rental (that I can't pick up) or points for my next reservation that I will not be making through Enterprise after this experience. I am waiting for a call back from customer service. Edit 2: Enterprise was able to find a rental at another closer location. We ended up paying taxi fares and had to stay at a hotel another night but at the end of the day we ended up with a car. I never heard back from corporate level customer service by phone or email so I am not sure if there is anything else they will do, but the local Enterprise reps that I was able to talk to and interact with were great. Very helpful and understanding.
