  I recently rented from Enterprise Rent-A-Car and had a very concerning experience. I accidentally left my garage door opener clipped to the driver-side visor when I returned the vehicle. When I called shortly after, I was told nothing was found. I understand it was my responsibility not to leave it behind, but this wasn’t something hidden it was in plain sight on the visor. Being told it wasn’t there is extremely hard to believe and raises serious concerns. This wasn’t just a minor item. A garage door opener is tied to my home, which creates a real security risk. I had to go through the process of unpairing and resetting my system immediately for peace of mind. I would strongly encourage better inspection procedures and more accountability when customers report missing items especially ones that impact personal safety.

  If I could give this place a -5 ⭐ review, I certainly would. I'll be 100% transparent! I showed myself! I was mad! I made a reservation online, 5 days in advance, with a pick up time of 3:30. After making the reservation, I called the local office to make sure they could pick me up, at the garage I was having my car worked on at. They said that was fine. All ok! The day before my rental started, they called and confirmed the details. Still, all ok. The day of, they call me 1 hour before my reservation time and tell me they do not have a car for me. Keep in mind, the reservation was made 5 days in advance, plenty of time for them to have a car ready for me. They told me a car would not be available until 5. Not acceptable! I reserved the car for 330, because that's when I needed it, not 5. Anyway, I made it clear I needed a car before 5 and I expected one before then. The guy told me, he would try but couldn't guarantee it and that I could come sit in the lobby for an hour and a half and wait for one. Also, not acceptable! At around 3:40 they call and tell me a vehicle is ready. I go to the mechanic to drop off my car, call Enterprise and tell them I'm ready. They send someone after me and we go back to the office. Once we are there he wants 3 phone numbers. I don't know ANYONE who has 3 phone numbers. Anyhow, I gave him mine and 2 other people's phone numbers. When I made the reservation, I opted for their insurance. When I got to the office, he wanted my personal insurance. Why did they need both? Needless to say, I told him I was paying for their insurance and he didn't need my private insurance information. I then asked why they were charging me a $200 deposit on top of payment and insurance and having a major credit card on file. He stumbled over his words and finally spit out that it's because people don't bring the rentals back. It is what it is. Then he wants my license and credit/debit card. I give him my license and debit card. He says he can't use the debit card because the name doesn't match the reservation (I use this debit card EVERY SINGLE DAY).. By this time, I'm fuming. I took out another credit card and I threw it down on the counter. He then proceeded to ask me if I was having a bad day and I told him "I wasn't until dealing with you all!". He then proceeded to ACCUSE me of throwing the card AT him. Again, 100% taking accountability for my actions, however, I did NOT throw it AT him, I threw it on the counter. He then proceeded to lecture me. I told him to give me the key and I walked out. NEVER again will I rent from the Barboursville WV location! I will drive an hour away, before dealing with them again. The place is a joke! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

  We really like Enterprise. They have nice cars and they’re always kept up good. They came and picked me up from the body shop to the car we rented. Great people . So polite and respectful. Great place.

  Always pleased with my rental experience at Enterprise Car Rental. I have never thought to rent from anyone else since the service has always been so great!!!
