I brought the battery in to get it replaced because it was under warranty, but after checking it, they said it was just dead. They offered to charge it for free, and after about an hour bam! I put it back in my car and it worked great. The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I’m not a car person at all, so I was grateful for their patience and insight. I would definitely come again!

As a car unenthusisast, I'm always a bit wary of judgment or oversale when it becomes clear that I have very little knowledge about maintenance or upkeep. Not once have I ever felt like I was being oversold, patronized, or judged by the employees here. Particular shout out to the young person who walked me through each step in changing a battery, which he came in early to complete for me so that I could get to my event. Much appreciation to everyone who works here.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
