- NNNikki NelsonDec 14, 20255.0Had issues with my car not starting to the point where it wouldn’t even turn over. Stopped into the store in my way home and bought an xl jumper cable to start my car. Got the car jumped and brought it back over to get the battery tested, and test came back as a bad battery. I was super confused as the battery isn’t even a year old and was a high quality battery that I bought from Advanced Auto Parts. Kevin, the associate who helped me, said to call Advanced to see if the battery was still under warranty. Advanced said it was, but the associate there said he “wouldn’t be able to do a battery exchange as he’s the only associate at the store, but would be able to do an exchange in the morning”. I asked if I would be able to purchase a new battery elsewhere and bring in the old battery for a refund. He said they would only be able to honor that if I bought the battery at another Advanced store. The next nearest store was over 15 minutes away, and with the temperature feeling like -5 outside, I said that that’s a risk I’m not willing to take. I told the gents at Auto Zone what Advanced had said, and they agreed that that was absolutely horrible. Kevin hooked me up with a new battery, gave me a small discount because of the chaos with Advanced, and was a gentleman and changed out my car battery for me. I will be calling Advanced later regarding my warranty, but will be solely going to Auto Zone from now on for any car needs. Thanks again Kevin and crew, you guys are life savers!
