- DRDusk RoyalSep 26, 20251.0I went in asking for a certain part only to be told and mansplained that's not the part despite none of them looking at my car they thought they could tell me what was wrong with it. Not to mentioned questioned my mechanic and overall wasn't a pleasant experience.
- JWjim wachowiakJul 22, 20212.0Ordered a set of rotors online and was given the wrong size at a store in Milwaukee. Tried returning them to this location and the manager refused to take them without a receipt. 1 was unopened taped up in the box, the other was opened but box was damaged when I opened it. They were obviously unused and still in sellable condition. I could not find the receipt but then remembered I had it through email, but I will not be attempting to return it to this location, nor ever purchase anything from this location again. Manager was very curt and stand-offish. He refused to help me even though my number was in their system because I was not a part of their local loyalty program.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
