- KFkj fitzJan 28, 20261.0I actually don’t think they deserve even one star. All over their website they advertise free battery installation, no appointment needed. I went in, bought the battery and then asked about putting it in. He said I can’t do that, I’m the only one here. There were 3 employee’s cars and employees milling around. He then said besides “my screen says it takes 45 minutes we can’t do that here”. He then watched me struggle to lift a 45 pound battery of the counter and lug it to my car. It took 15 minutes to change the battery after watching a You Tube video By the way I am a 70 year old woman. I let him know when I brought the old battery back and he watched me struggle with it.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
